Excellent value for price

Pros - Performance with size and efficiency

Cons - Styling is rather bland; NAV not convenient

Pretty good package For $7800, it is a pretty good package. The styling is not great, but it is not what I bought it for. So far, it has been very reliable, and is as quick as my previous '01 Camry V6 when you need it to be. Very happy I went with the small trunk size instead of going with the Prius or Civic Hybrid. My biggest gripe is with the NAV, it doesn't let you do much while moving, even if there is a passenger in the seat trying to make selections

Lackluster engine and interiors

Pros - Spacious interiors, decent cargo hold, cushy ride

Cons - Lackluster interiors, sluggish engine

Spacious but not attractive I got roomy interiors with the Jetta at pretty affordable pricing. The cargo hold is sufficient to take most of the luggage that my family packs when going for outings or even long trips. If space is kept aside, there is literally nothing in the interiors to attract. It is not good enough on the performance front too and acts sluggish due to its lackluster engine. But gains some goodies on the fuel economy front. Yet opting for the sunroof helped me gain the cruise control feature and front center console that adds slightly to the practicality. I didn't find the service to be attractive but at the end of the day, they get the work done.

Replaced the faulty factory horn

Pros - Driving experience, mileage, and interiors have been good

Cons - Faulty horn

Everything good, but get the horns replaced The horn is a real hiccup, comes in and goes out randomly, sometimes will not work even for 15 days. Dealer replaced the horn, still no effect. Changed the factory horns with Wolo's Bad boy air horn as recommended from a friend. Did cost almost $100 and needed 2 hours to do everything in my garage. All the remaining things like driving experience, mileage, and interiors have been good. Overall, the experience has been really good. Looking to deal with them for new vehicles further too for my family.

The latest generation Jetta that was launched two year ago may have cut corners to attract higher sales volume by lowering the asing price, it still does offer a lot of value to many buyers and hence has seen steady growth in sales numbers since advent of the cirrent generation. The 2013 Jetta continues to offer a roomy and spacious cabin, with excpetional fit and finish but lacks the material quality of the older generation. The efficient gasoline engine which is complemented by a diesel offering makes things more interesting for a compact sedan buyer. Add to that the extremely low starting price with various trims and add-on packages to basically build a Jetta to match your needs and budget, no wonder it is selling like hot cakes today.
