The 2021 Toyota Camry comes with an elegantly designed interior, which remains mostly identical to the outgoing 2020 model. Although, it now comes covered in 3 different colors; ash leather, black leather, cockpit red leather, and also gets new 7-inch or 9-inch floating touchscreen setups. The highest XSE trim comes with a host of interior and infotainment features like a 9-inch Entune 3.0 infotainment system, leather upholstery, heated and electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and many more too.

The infotainment system also gets all the features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM radio, and many more as standard, even with the base LE trim, coming at $25,045. Apart from that, there is also the TRD and hybrid versions of the new Toyota Camry, both of which remain identical to the regular version, apart from minor changes. With the rising competition from the likes of the 2021 Honda Accord2021 Nissan Altima, and Hyundai Sonata, can the 2021 Camry continue to be one of the top-ranked midsize sedans when it comes to the interior? Find out more in this detailed interior review of the 2021 Toyota Camry.

2021 Toyota Camry Interior: Dimensions, Seating Comfort, and Features

The 2021 Toyota Camry offers good legroom to all its occupants, however, entering the back row is not as smooth as it seems. This midsize sedan from Toyota features large, supportive seats on both rows, even the rear seats offer enough space for tall occupants. The cabin is built with premium materials found in this segment with an elegant style. However, the 2021 Honda Accord offers marginally better headroom, legroom, and shoulder room for both the front and rear rows in comparison to the 2021 Camry.

The interior also gets multiple optional extras like a panoramic sunroof for $1,360, a Cold weather package for $150, and many more too. With the three interior colors on offer for all the trims coupled with leather and soft-touch fabric and plastic trims on offer, the cabin of the 2021 Toyota Camry turned out to be one of the better of the mid-size sedan segment. However, the TRD trim, which is retailed for an MSRP of $32,260, gets a slightly revamped interior with a black and red color combination along with subtle touches like highlighting accents for the seats and steering wheel.

When it comes to space on offer, the 2021 Honda Accord manages to edge the segment with better headroom, legroom, and shoulder room in both its rows in comparison to the Camry. Even the Nissan Altima offers a more spacious front row, even though the rear headroom and legroom are not as good as the Camry.

Some of the interior features that are available in the 2021 Toyota Camry are:

  • Rear seat air-con vents
  • Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging
  • Dual Zone automatic climate control
  • 7-inch TFT instrument cluster(higher trims)
  • Leather upholstery
  • Auto-dimming RVM
  • 4.2-inch TFT MID in instrument cluster(lower trims)
  • 10-inch heads-up display
  • Moonroof

2021 Toyota Camry Infotainment and Its Features

Toyota's touchscreen infotainment, branded as Entune 3.0, is standard in all trims, with an upgraded edition available as an alternative. Entune has several functionalities and reacts fairly well to user inputs, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support are on offer too. This system comes in two different screen sizes, a 7-inch version for the lower trim levels and a 9-inch version for the higher trims like XSE, which comes at an MSRP of $30,420. This system offers an intuitive user experience along with excellent display quality offering high brightness levels and top-notch viewing angles.

Since many of the rivals have moved to touch-screen or touch-button climate control settings that are unnecessarily complex and force the driver to take his eyes off the road to work, the usage of basic dials and hard buttons allows Camry's climate control a breeze to use. Along with these standard features, you also get an optional Navigation Upgrade Package for an additional $1,760 too.

Soe of the infotainment features on offer with the 2021 Toyota Camry are:

  • 7 or 8-inch infotainment touch screen unit with 6 speakers
  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with Amazon Alexa support
  • 3 USB ports(One media port and two charge ports)
  • SiriusXM with 3 months all-access trial
  • Advanced voice recognition
  • Bluetooth streaming with Hands-free support
  • Wi-Fi compatible with 4G compatibility and 2GB free data for 3 months

"The Camry is a large sedan, and there's plenty of cargo space and interior storage in both its trunk and in its cabin with the rear seat folded." - CarAndDriver.com

2021 Toyota Camry Cargo Capacity and Interior Storage Spaces

The Toyota Camry is a large sedan, and there are ample luggage room and individual storage compartments in the front-row, rear-row, and trunk too. The center console and the rear armrests both come with cup holders. The only hiccup is a small glove box that doesn't quite complement the otherwise excellent versatility of this cabin.

With an excellent 16.7 cubic feet of cargo space on offer coupled with underfloor space as well as bulkhead opening, the 2021 Camry turned out to be one of the best offerings of the segment when it comes to cargo capacity on offer. Along with that, there are also multiple tieing hooks and a decently low loading lip, making it easy to load and secure the cargo.

The Toyota Camry storms the entire table with its generous cargo space by offering 16.7 cu.ft. of cargo space. The Honda Accord stays at the bottom of the table with only 15.1 cu.ft. of cargo space. In the second position comes the 2021 Nissan Altima with 15.4 cu.ft. of cargo space.

Is the 2021 Toyota Camry Worth Buying?

With a well-appointed interior on offer which comes with many important features as standard, the new Camry is an excellent offering if you are after a mid-size family sedan that can take your whole family with utmost comfort. Though it is not the most spacious of the lot in comparison to the 2021 Honda Accord, it is surely one of the nicest cabins to be in due to the excellent quality on offer coupled with top-notch craftsmanship. With a feature-rich infotainment system and best-in-class cargo space on offer, we think that the 2021 Toyota Camry could easily trump the segment in terms of interior.

Toyota Camry 2019

Pros - Looks great, interior is top quality, mpg

Cons - Slow, instrument panel is awkward, orad noise

Wanted the Camry since I first saw it I’ve wanted the Camry since the first time I saw it. It took me about 3 or 4 months before I bought it because I wanted to make sure I was making a good purchase. I paid a great price for my car and I find the car to be worthy of the price. It is efficient, has many safety features, but there is something that is bothering me, the transmission. The gear changes are slow and acceleration from a stop is terrible. The transmission is always hesitating to change gears. I complained about this problem to the Toyota Dealer and they gave me this wonderful solution- always use Sport mode. Yes, it does improve the gearing but I think Toyota can do better than this.

Impeccable driveability

Pros - Value for money, comfortable, good driveability

Cons - Paint quality

No faults! Despite the popular opinion being Camry is boring I find it fun. The throttle response is good and it gets going fairly quickly. Not only that but the handling, transmission, and ride quality are all impeccable. Wonderful customer service
