The 2019 Tesla Model S comes in just 3 trims- Standard, Long Range and Performance. The trims have been segregated as per their names and have been priced from $69,750 to $89,750 after adding all the incentives. The 2019 Model S comes standard with a 100KWh battery and an AWD system across all the trims. Customers have the option of going for the Ludicrous Trim by paying $14,000 more over the standard Performance Trim. This makes the Model S do the dash to 60MPH in just 2.4 seconds, while still delivering 300+ miles of range.

Tesla has been long ruling the electric space in the world and the MOdel S was one of the cars that made the world take Tesla seriously. Today, it commands an impressive segment share in the EV space and continues to do so with its ever increasing lineup.
While there are no direct rivals to the Model S, manufacturers like Lexus, BMW and Porsche have hybrids in the form of the LS 500h, 740e XDrive and the Panamera e-Hybrid respectively.

Tesla has reduced the number of trims, available in the Model S for 2019. All trims come with the same set of standard features and are only differentiated in their range and performance. Also, AWD comes in as standard for all trims and Enhanced Autopilot comes to work in the 2019 model.

Talking about the differences, the Standard Range Model S offers 310 miles of range and a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds. The Long Range trim adds 25 miles of range to the previous trim and can be upgraded in the standard trim through an OTA software update. The Performance Trim does the 0-60 dash in just 2.4 seconds (Ludicrous Mode by paying $15,000 extra) and see a reduction in range to just 315 miles.
We Recommend
We recommend the Long Range trim of the 2019 Tesla model 3 as it bundles a lot of performance and a superb range with it.
2019 Tesla Model S electric Engine and Performance
9.9/10
Unlike Gas powered cars, the 2019 Tesla Model S comes powered by 2 Induction Electric motors whose power and torque ratings haven't been listed by Tesla (As Tesla believes in 0-60 figures rather than HP and Torque figures). The Model S is available only with a 100KWh battery pack and gets AWD as standard in all trims. This has been made possible by the use of dual motors, one for the front wheels and one for the rear. These dual motors let the Model S reach alarming speeds in seconds, leaving the competition in dust. The ModelS digitally and independently controls torque to the front and rear wheels. This result is a better traction control in every condition.

There isn't a Multi Speed Transmission and instead, transmission duties are performed by a single speed direct drive unit that powers all the 4 wheels. For charging purposes, Tesla bundles the 2019 Model S with a 20 ft. mobile connector with storage bag, a 240V NEMA 14-50 adapter, a 120V NEMA 5-15 adapter and a J1772 public charging adapter. The Charging port is concealed in the rear driver side tail lamp.
Acceleration
The 2019 Tesla Model S does quite well in the acceleration department. For a vehicle this size, the MODEL S has brisk acceleration and remarkable handling.

The 2019 Tesla Model S' acceleration figures are better than most of the rivals. The Porsche Panamera comes closest to the Teslas while the Lexus and the BMW take identical time, to reach the 60mph mark. The Performance version of the Model S takes just 2.4 seconds to reach the 60M{H, making it one of the quickest sedans in the world to achieve this feat.
Ride and Handling
The 2019 Tesla Model 3 Sedan showcases impressive balance while entering corners, transitioning through the bend and exiting it powerfully. The heavy battery is the reason behind its low-center of gravity and the weight distribution from front to rear is quite uniform. The 18-inch wheels can be a little bothering in matters of handling but the optional 19-inch wheels perform better. As for the steering wheel, it is very quick off the center and is nicely weighted with minimal feedback. It offers you three different settings to choose from Standard, Comfort, and Sport. The AWD system works well to maintain a perfect balance between ride and handling and allow for smooth transition of power throughout the 4 wheels.
Braking
The 2019 Tesla Model S uses regenerative braking while routine deceleration to get the best output. Panic stops are stable and consistent, and quite short for a vehicle this heavy.
2019 Tesla model s electric sedan has front brake of 14 in.
Just like the acceleration pedal (can't call it gas' pedal now, can we?), the brake pedal gives a more predictable feel as compared to some other electric vehicles

The Model S takes just 102 feet to come to a halt from 60 mph. That's impressive for a vehicle this heavy. This is possible thanks to Tesla's sticky summer tires and its able regenerative brakes. The Porsche on the other hand stays true to its racing pedigree and stop the best among the rest. The Heavy Bimmer is the last of the lot with its 178ft distance to stop from 70MPH.
2019 Tesla Model S electric Fuel Economy
9.9/10
While the Tesla Model S runs on Electric Power, it has certainly raised the bar for the distances that can be traversed by an Electric Car when charged fully. The least range that one can get from a fully charged 2019 Tesla Model S is 310miles in the standard trim, 315 on the performance and 335 in the long range trim. What sweetens the case for the Tesla is the wide range of Supercharger stations around the US and the upgraded Superchargers that can charge 50% of the Model S' battery in just 5 minutes. Tesla also bundles a 20 feet long charging cable and multiple adapters of different ratings, to make it easier for consumers to charge their Tesla from various charging stations.

The Porsche has not released the official EPA ratings for the Porsche, but it is safe to say that they won't surpass Tesla's benchmark. What we do know is that the Panamera can travel 22 miles on electric charge alone. On the other hand, the BMW and the Lexus have similar overall MPG figures while the Lexus, having a slight advantage on the highway.

The 2019 Tesla Model S comes standard with leather seats that are heated and 12-way power adjustable in the front. The seats are comfortable and provide excellent visibility.

Passenger comfort is excellent in the front. In the second row, the sloping roofline hinders the headroom for taller passengers. Another issue is the seating angle in the second row. Since the floor is raised due to the arrangement of the batteries, the knees are raised, which isn't ideal for long journeys. The optional rear-facing seats are only suited for small children
Infotainment System
Tesla has not skipped on adding a plethora of features for the infotainment system of the 2019 Model S and all the trims come with the same system.

2019 Tesla Model S electric Exterior
9.0/10
The Tesla cars brought forth a revolution in the way people thought about electric cars, and their simple and uncluttered design set them apart just as much as their capabilities with an electric motor. Till 2016, the Model S wore a faux grille which is now ditched for a more daring grille-less design along with revised headlights. The New Tesla gets swanky LED Headlights with Led cornering Lamps and Led Fog lights.
2019 Tesla model s electric sedan third-quarter view
From the side, the sloping roofline makes the Model S look more like a practical hatchback than a sedan. You won't find any door-handles anywhere, but when you approach the car with the key fob, the retractable handles emerge out for you. In the rear, the simple yet daring and classy look continues. The taillights hold another secret, the recharging port is actually hidden behind the tail light, so as to not be a constant freckle on an otherwise clean design.

The Tesla in terms of dimensions, stacks in between the Lexus and the Porsche and this gives it an edge while parking in tight spaces or moving through heavy traffic. The Tesla however suffers in terms of ground clearance as it offers the least among its rivals, hence making it difficult for drivers to pass over speed bumps at high speeds.

Tesla Model S vs. Porsche Panamera e-Hybrid
The Porsche Panamera was the 1st 4 door Porsche that touted Porsche's signature handling dynamics but in a more practical avatar. Looks aside, the Panamera offered everything that one would expect from a 911 but with space for rear passengers as well. The Tesla on the other hand offers better performance and an incredibly higher range than the Panamera, while retailing for a far lesser price than the same. True that Tesla hasn't been built like the Porsche in both the outside and on the inside but for the value that the Tesla offers, it's certainly a no brainer.
2019 Porsche Panamera e-Hybrid
Tesla Model S vs. Lexus LS 500h
The Lexus LS 500h stands apart from the rest of the competition, with its ultra-luxurious interiors, striking exteriors and a great handling body. With superb attention to detail on both the outside and the inside, the Lexus sure grabs eyeballs wherever it goes. The Lexus also retails for a lot less when compared to the Tesla. The Tesla on the other hand offers a great driving range with a tech laden interior that houses a lot of features and connectivity options. In terms of sportiness as well, the Tesla leaves the Lexus way behind in every possible test. If you are ok with an "Okayish" build quality and focus more on performance and fancy stuff, the Tesla will suit you well then.
2019 Lexus LS 500h
Tesla Model S vs. BMW 740e XDrive
The BMW 7 series has been the preferred choice of Head of States and other Top Honchos because of its imposing stance and humongous levels of luxury on offer. The 7 series Hybrid has brought all that luxury in an eco-friendly avatar and made driving, further more pleasant and guilt free. The Tesla Model S on the other hand is beast on the road when it comes to performance and driving range on offer. It also trumps the BMW in terms of the Tech offered in the cabin and the Autonomous features on offer. So if Luxury and a well-built cabin is your top priority , the BMW will be your best bet but for everything else, it's the Tesla that you should bet on.
BMW 740e XDrive
2019 Tesla Model S electric Final Verdict
In case you're searching for a luxurious vehicle that pushes the limits of what an electric vehicle can do, look no further. The 2019 Tesla Model S is something that seems to have evolved out of a science fiction motion picture with its brilliant performance and amazing tech. In terms of pricing as well, Tesla has gone all guns blazing and has priced the Model S, even more aggressively than before. Leave aside the minor niggles in the build quality and the interior space and you will be surprised by what Tesla offers in the Model S. It is quick, smooth, loaded with tech, eco-friendly and a general spine chiller to own and drive.
One car that certainly is being overlooked by prospective buyers.

Super fast and comfortable
I knew this fast, I read countless reviews and watched videos on youtube but when you experience it first hand it is mind-blowingly quick. Far than what I expected and imagined. It can beat anything in a 0-60. The ride is very comfortable and it is stable as a mountain. Even on sharp corners, it doesn’t lose tail unless you want it to.
