2018 Tesla Model S!

Pros - 1) Great acceleration. 2) Driving tech. 3) Great on cargo space.

Cons - 1) Harrowing service experience. 2) No Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Great car, worst service experience! Its been over 44,000 miles on this Model S since I bought it in 2017. It surely has changed the meaning of driving for me. The acceleration is really out-of-the world because of the P badging. The full Autopilot mode, adaptive cruise control works really good and is handy at times especially when I'm on long trips. I also had a breakdown once because of a malfunction at about 23,000 mile-mark. The limited service centers meant close to a month's time to get my car back. The rear electric motor assembly was replaced under warranty. Besides I had to travel over 140-miles from home to the Chicago service center which was the closest to my home! Tesla need to work a way around this issue! It is the closest service center to my home and yet about 130-miles away. They take a lot of time to finish up up especially with warranty repairs. If it weren't for anything major, I usually prefer the Mobile Service rather than visiting the place!

If this is future; bring it on!

Pros - Blisteringly fast, tech laden cabin

Cons - Slight glitches on the screen, expensive

True speed. I have been using an E63 for the last five year and switching to the Tesla was like buying a space ship. For starters the E63 was a was fast car but believe me, this Tesla is on an other league. The silent and blistering acceleration figures is scary. This car literally pins you to the seat. You will get no sensation except 'speed' in this car. You would literally what to floor this thing endlessly. That said, this car is a relaxing sedan when you dial things down a bit. The ride is supremely silent and the seats feel plush. The touch screen functions need a bit of getting used to and may feel a bit distractive when driving at night.

2018 Tesla Model S

Pros - Great to drive. Advanced tech. Supercharger network.

Cons - Higher trims quite expensive. Lacks luxury car bits.

Modern gizmo of a car! The Model S was definitely the best option for me back in 2018 when I decided to switch to an EV. I drive my Tesla mostly for office commutes which is about 40 miles for a round trip. The 75D was just enough for me to get by a week of round trips on a single charge. Also, the accleration on the more powerful 100Ds is really insane to be used on a city road. I also happen to save a lot of money by opting for the base version. Apaft from the usual standard featires list, I opted for the Enhanced Autopilot which equips the car with three more cameras and sensors. With that I get a lot of fun, smart driving bits possible like changing lanes by just activating turn signal, automatic steering, hands-free parking and my personal fav, summoning feature! I definitely is a car from the future!
