The 2021 Subaru Outback comes with a nice and crystal clear 7-inch or 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display with a 7.7-inch instrument cluster. The infotainment system comes with large icons on the screen and properly does space management and everything is easy to reach with a farily simple interface. The screen comes with Subaru’s Starlink multimedia system which is loaded with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM, and wireless charging.

  • Subaru STARLINK infotainment system
  • 4/6 speakers
  • SiriusXM

How much cargo space does the 2021 Subaru Outback offer?

The 2021 Subaru Outback offers nice and spacious cargo space with 32.5 cu-ft. behind the second-row seats. The cargo area is enough to pack all the luggage for long journeys and with a 60/40 split, the rear seats can also be completely folded down to give it even more space which totals to a total space of 75.7 cu.-ft. of cargo volume to haul even more luggage. The load is low enough to load/unload your luggage quite easily, the cargo area also has a nice depth which gives it a more spacious look.

The trunk door is quite wide and covers most of the rear facia with just the rear bonnet left. The seats are automatically controlled via buttons at the back of the cargo area and there’s also a standard USB port in the back. The trunk doors are a hands-free power gate with a single touch lock. There are also roof rails on the top which are sturdy enough to pack more cargo or bikes or skies on the top. There is also cubby storage in the center console, glovebox, cupholders, and door pockets with bottle holders.

Compared to the competition, the Subaru Outback does lack in Cargo space as compared to the Nissan Rogue and the Hyundai Santa Fe. The Nissan Rogue provides the best in class cargo space of about 40 cu.-ft which is quite a hurdle which Subaru would need to pass, as cargo space in one of the important areas when considering to buy a station wagon.

Is the interior of the 2021 Subaru Outback good enough to be worth buying?

The 2021 Subaru Outback seems to be doing just fine in terms of the overall interior quality. It is pretty well loaded with the latest tech to hold its place in the top in the largest selling station wagon. The interior uses premium material all over with seats that are comfortable. The entertainment system is updated and is fun enough to play with. All of this comes in a practical and utilitarian package that Subaru is best known for, hence making the 2021 Outback definitely worth buying.

Great car

Pros - "High-end interior Powerful optional turbocharged engine Roomy seating and large cargo hold"

Cons - "Slight infotainment learning curve So-so standard engine"

Luxury in so less price I love the luxury feeling, space inside, safety features, front dashboard, heating ease, radio applications, warmth beside mine palms, brakes abd accerleration, I enjoy how it stops at halt lights and starts right up again. The staff was really supportive. Thanks to all you accomplished, Robert! With my new automobile, I'm incredibly delighted! On my auto purchasing experience, Brian was incredibly helpful! Everyone was incredibly kind and comfortable in the dealership. I absolutely would go back to buy a different car!

Family SUV

Pros - Comfortable, practical, AWD

Cons - No window tint, no leather, small screen

Perfect family hauler If power is not your priority and you don’t want those flashy and somewhat unsafe SUVs then Outback is just for you. It is designed to be a daily commuter. Everything about it screams “Family vehicle”. Be it the design or interior, safety or reliability, and even the power. Everything is designed keeping the needs of a family in mind. Excellent, the dealership has been nothing but nice and helpful to me and my family.

Fit and finish

Pros - AWD, smooth CVT, features

Cons - Bad quality interior, noisy motor

Fit and finish are what it lacks Let’s start with the things I don’t like because they are few. For one- the legroom in the second row is very bad. Two, road noise is very annoying, especially at high speeds. Three, the touch screen is confusing to use. And these are the only things I don’t like about my new Outback. Other than these few, I love it! All things considered, this has been one of the best deal of my life. The experience could not have been any better too.
