The Cayenne always feels like a proper Porsche, driving more like a bulked-up Panamera than a midsize SUV.- MotorTrend

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne is available in a sole trim option priced at an MSRP of $67,500, excluding the destination charge of $1,350. If you pick up the standard 2021 Cayenne, you will be incurring ownership costs of about $76,000 in a span of 5 years. If you want to lease it out, that would cost you about $849/month for 36 months after a downpayment of $6,819 due at signing.

For this money, you get a turbocharged V6 engine making 335 hp, luxurious interiors with fine leather and power-adjustable seats, Porsche communications management on a 12.3-inch infotainment display along with Apple CarPlay and available Bose and Burmester surround sound system. Safety features include brake assist, Porsche side impact protection system, engine immobilizer with radar-based interior surveillance, and more.

Sure, it has its pros and cons like any other vehicle, but we feel that the pros outweigh the following cons - CarBuzz

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne is available for sale as a standalone trim, like all the other models under the Cayenne umbrella. It carries a sticker price of $67,500 which does not include the destination fee of $1,350 and neither the cost of add-ons. Under the hood is a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine that is tamed by a Triptronic S transmission and puts power on the wheels via the AWD drivetrain.

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne is a standalone model

Porsche also offers many packages like an off-road package ($2,000), Premium Package ($6,470), Premium Plus Package ($8,950), Assistance Package ($6,250), along with many stand-alone options like bigger wheels and wheel designs, choice of colors including interior colors, exterior and interior trim options, technology, safety and driver assists, and accessories like roof racks, floor mats can be added to your build. However, these can make the price rise very quickly.

Porsche Cayenne does an excellent job delivering on its promises of being a luxury SUV that is exciting to drive. - AutoTrader

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne carries forward everything from the 2020 model year. The engine is a 3.0L turbocharged V6 making 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque paired to an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission which directs power to the AWD system. This allows it a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. If you require more power the Cayenne GTS, Cayenne SCayenne Turbo, and Turbo S E-Hybrid models can fill that void.

2021 Porsche Cayenne SUV Engine

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne does the 0-60 sprint in 5.9 seconds, which is slower than the Audi Q8 and Maserati Levante (both 5.6 seconds), and BMW X5 (5.2 seconds), when equipped with the Chrono Package ($1,130), it does the 0-60 in 5.6 seconds (same as the Q8 and Levante). The 2021 Cayenne can do the quarter-mile in 14.3 seconds and will achieve a top speed of 152 mph.

2021 Porsche Cayenne Fuel Economy

8.7/10

The 2021 Cayenne gets fuel economy estimates that are only about average for the class.- Cars.USNews

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne is made for many things, but offering spectacular fuel economy figures is not one of them. Though Porsche has worked a lot to make its cars fuel-efficient, the 2021 Cayenne still has a long way to go. It offers 19 MPG in the city, 23 MPG on the highway, which leads to 20 MPG combined. For a performance-oriented SUV, these figures are mostly acceptable.

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne offers decent MPG figures

This comes supported by a 23.7-gallon fuel tank which is a segment-leading addition for the price you pay for it compared to its adversaries. At full capacity, you can get an overall combined driving range of 474 miles, which is decent enough. For all-out fuel efficiency, the 2021 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is your best bet with its hybrid powertrain.

The Maserati Levante has the least favorable figures of the above and has the smallest fuel tank as well. The Audi Q8 matches the fuel economy figures in the highway and combined criteria.

2021 Porsche Cayenne vs 2021 Audi Q8

The 2021 Audi Q8 is one of the latest joinees to the automaker's lineup. Though a corporate cousin to the Porsche Cayenne, the Audi Q8 is diametrically different in character. The Porsche Cayenne is built mostly for the driver while the Audi Q8 can be both for the driver or the driven. The interior is spacious and safety tech on the Q8 are also better along with a meaner performance streak. However, the MPG figures of the Audi Q8 are far from satisfactory, so it actually boils down to brand preference among the two here.

2021 Audi Q8

2021 Porsche Cayenne vs 2021 Maserati Levante

If style is what you are after, nothing beats the Italian mafioso, the 2021 Maserati Levante. The ride was the first SUV from the automaker and has already made waves for retaining the quintessential Maserati traits of performance, style, and comfort in one package. The interior of the 2021 Levante is the most spacious than the rest. That being said, for the better performance it offers, the MPG figures take a hit, and the ride also extracts the highest price from the buyers, which is almost close to the 455 hp Cayenne E-Hybrid.

2021 Maserati Levante

2021 Porsche Cayenne vs 2021 BMW X5

The 2021 BMW X5 is the real challenger to the 2021 Porsche Cayenne in almost all regards. With 2-rows of spacious seating, it also has the longest list of safety features in the competitors. Add to that the fact that it is also the most fuel efficient, and also the cheapest one to buy, and you clearly have a winner here. If it boils down between the 2021 BMW X5 and the 2021 Porsche Cayenne, the Bimmer easily cruises to victory lane without flinching.
