The 2021 Nissan Kicks marks the time for its mid-cycle refresh and gets styling tweaks with the possible addition of some new features. The looks are to be completely refreshed as the 2021 Nissan Kicks looks much more attractive on the outside and much more premium on the inside than the preceding model. Though a hybrid powertrain has also been launched for the Thailand market, the 2021 Nissan Kicks will continue with the gasoline engine in the American market which happens to be a 1.6L naturally aspirated inline-4

The 2021 Nissan Kicks will be offered in 3 trims, with prices starting from $19,500 for the base S trim and ranging up to $21,940 for the top of the line SR trim. For the record, the 2021 Nissan Kicks price is slighly more expensive than the 2020 Nissan Kicks. With that said, how good is the 2021 Nissan Kicks on the inside and does this mid-cycle update make it a stronger package as compared to rivals such as  Hyundai VenueFord EcoSport, and the Toyota C-HR?

"The base model Nissan Kicks feels every bit the entry-level budget car it is, but SV and SR trims cover those bases with a touch of modernity" - TheCarConnection

2021 Nissan Kicks Interior: Dimensions, Seating Comfort, and Features

The 2021 Nissan Kicks's interior gets several revamps ranging from a new 8” NissanConnect infotainment touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a centrally mounted 7” digital instrument cluster. The center console has also been redesigned and now looks a lot more advanced and mature at the same time.

Nissan Kicks is a traditional compact crossover that is expected to be used as a comfortable, stylish, and spacious car compatible with daily driving and those occasional highway trips. It is well constructed, looks mature, and has a user-friendly interior.

The dashboard now flaunts a dual-tone interior which makes the cabin feel even roomier. The seats are well-bolstered and will support your body very well. The back-rest angle is spot-on and is a boon for the elderly in your home. They won't even have a problem with ingress.

The rear bench is well-cushioned with adequate support but over a long journey seating, three at the back would be a concern. Cloth upholstery comes standard with an available option for synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

  • Security system with engine immobilizer
  • Rear Parking Camera

2021 Nissan Kicks Infotainment and its Features

The 7-Inch touch screen has been replaced with an all-new 8-inch screen for the top two trims that come equipped with the latest version of Nissan Connect. However, the base S trim still comes with the same 7-inch display. The physical dials are appreciated instead of the touch-type buttons as they are better ergonomically designed which helps in facilitating the bigger screen without making it bulky.

The infotainment system comes with the current and latest iteration of the Nissan Connect. The interface is the same but now it offers more features. All the trims of the 2021 Nissan Kicks get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard, while a wi-fi hotspot is available on the top-spec SR trim.

The center console of the car is equipped with 3 x USB type-A power outlets, out of which supports quick charge as well as enables the connectivity of smartphone integration when connected to your iPhone or Android device. In the rear, you get 1 x 12-volt DC power outlets, which makes sure you or your occupants do not lose juice on your devices, while on the move.

Some of the most prominent infotainment features of the 2021 Nissan Kicks are:

  • 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen
  • Smartphone integration
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Android Auto
  • Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity
  • AM/FM stereo/HD Radio
  • 8 speaker-Bose Personal Plus Stereo System
  • Steering mounted audio controls
  • Auxiliary and USB Inputs

"The Kicks offers a usable trunk with the seats up — certainly more than a match for a routine shopping trip or a weekend getaway." - Edmunds

2021 Nissan Kicks Cargo Capacity and Interior Storage Spaces

Cargo capacity is a factor that is necessary when you buy a crossover that is made for family usage, it needs to carry five people efficiently and safely with their luggage on-board. The current model offers the biggest boot in the segment, and things are not going to be different from the 2021 model.

The 2021 Nissan Kicks 25.3 cubic feet of cargo space is ample for long trips and is currently the best in the segment. Even the 60/40-folding seats fold flat for legitimately huge cargo space of 32.2 cubes. The capacious cargo makes the Nissan Kicks a bright prospect and one of the most practical ones.

The 2021 Nissan Kicks reveals that there is a reasonable amount of storage space inside the family-centric and functional cabin of this crossover that provides ample value for all occupants seated comfortably inside the cabin. Nissan seems to have taken complete care of the storage space as you get a large boot, door pockets, and a glove box. Overall, Nissan Kicks is very practical along with the best in the class boot which is usable as well as practical for your day to day usage.

Is the 2021 Nissan Kicks worth it?

The 2020 Nissan Kicks was already a brilliant little car but now with the 2021 refresh, it has gained its parking spot in the Crossover segment portraying itself as a rather serious contender in the segment which will surely give the primary competitors a run for their money. The 2021 Nissan Kicks with the updated features, functionality, and much-appreciated driver aid safety techs, it is delivering a value proposition while not cutting edges in terms of safety.

It is also a very dependable and reliable machine staying true to its Japanese roots and tradition. Ones who are looking for a practical, functional, and practical Crossover, the 2021 Kicks is the car you should be looking at.

SR Nissan Kicks

Pros - "Ample cargo space Smooth ride Roomy cabin"

Cons - "Sluggish acceleration Below-average safety score for the class"

A nicely rounded-off compact family car at a good pricing. The style and lines of the vehicle make it seem sporty. Storage space in the rear. Fuel economy is awesome. The size of the vehicle is just right for me. It's a smaller SUV with all of the bells and whistles but not too big to drive. Love this vehicle. I tried working with a few dealerships in Central Ohio and found Buckeye Nissan to be the best. Respectful, ordered, tidy, and, most importantly, willing to fit within my budget for a new lease.

SV Nissan Kicks

Pros - "Abundant cargo space for class Plenty of standard features"

Cons - "Slow acceleration Lackluster stopping power"

A good blend of modest capabilty and daily usability. The Nissan Kicks may not be the most luxurious or fun-to-drive vehicle in its class, but it offers well-rounded driving characteristics and safety features for daily commutes. It has the same fuel consumption as an economy vehicle, but with a larger interior and more luggage space. The vehicle's high ride height provides a clear view of the road ahead, but all-wheel drive is not accessible. If Terry Jenkins had not worked at the service center, it might not be as it is now. Terry is a consummate professional who really cares for the customers who come into the support department.

Nisaan Kicks

Pros - "Plenty of standard features Good cargo space for the class Excellent fuel economy"

Cons - "Lackluster highway acceleration All-wheel drive not offered"

A well packaged perfectly priced compact SUV The Nissan Kicks is an excellent subcompact SUV for city driving and cycling, with good fuel economy and driver-assistance technology to help prevent collisions. Nissan sells many configurations of the elegant contrast-color canopy, which is sportier than other competitors. Anything has been done on the spot, from the sale of the car to the repair of the vehicle. These people have a thorough understanding of the cars they market and how to maintain them. Thank you so much, Fred Anderson.
