Now, the newest Tacoma TRD lift-kit is currently available as a dealer-installed option, providing up to and 2-inch front and 1-inch, only available in the V6-powered 4×4 variant. On top of that, this kit has been designed and examined with TRD engineers and is now the sole one verified to be suitable with the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) system.
The new shocks enhance Tacoma's off-road geometry, with a 32-degree approach angle, 23-degree breakover angle, and 24-degree departure angle in extension to extra ground clearance.
New Bilstein shocks get cool-looking reddish dust boots together with TRD inscribed on them. These create the Tacoma marginally more competent than the regular TRD offroad version; however, not as potent as the Tacoma TRD.
Tacoma also gets a TRD prostyle front grille emphasized by heritage-inspired TOYOTA ribbon across the front. The kit comprises a Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) platform millimeter-wave detector and brand new camera support mount, made to fit inside the grille to maintain TSS functionality.
Toyota is charging $1,350 for suspension, excluding labor. Afterward, it's covered by a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty when installed by the factory or a 1-year, 12,000-mile warranty as an aftermarket bit installed after purchasing the vehicle.
