Chevrolet Silverado’s mid-cycle refresh inches closer to launch with newly clicked spy pictures to tell a lot. Also caught testing was the 2022 Silverado ZR2.

With Ford pushing the prices up for the F-150s Raptor and Tremor edition and coming in the market with new updated trucks. Chevrolet Silverado is in for an update, its last update being 3 years ago this will be a mid-cycle refresh. The other brand that is up and guns in the pickup truck market is the Ram, with a lot of trims and editions its one tough competition.

One of the most fiercest competition is in the performance truck segment where the Ram TRX and F-150 Raptor is battling it out. There is also a lot spy shots and news of the Chevrolet’s equivalent offering getting testes and that is the Silverado ZR2.

The new truck would be having multimatic DSSV dampers, a higher ride height, front and rear locking differentials, differently designed bumpers for better off-road ability, skid plates, and off-road tires. The spy shots of the Silverado also show the Goodyear tires and other than that we cannot figure much out on the exteriors as camouflage covers are hiding it well.

The much powerful 2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 is not far and it will come with a 6.2 L V8 powertrain with a power of 420 hp. With the prices of the Raptor now reaching over $60,000 mark. Expect the performance truck from the bow-tie company to be priced similarly. There is no speculation of the release date but you can expect it this year.
