Hyundai And LG Preview The Car Interior From The Future With Ioniq Concept Cabin

Hyundai shows what their future EV cabins would look like, all personalized, spacious. One of the IONIQ model expected to come next year, might follow the very same philosophy.

Korean manufacturer Hyundai has been taking the US car market by storm. With its aggressive strategies, the ‘other’ from the east looks far from being stagnant. The design, the new vision of the mobility leads everyone and with Kia, its sister brand. Both just kill the competition with progressive nature while sharing most of their platforms. Hyundai has unveiled its conceptual IONIQ Concept Cabin, its vision of future dedicated EV in-car experience. The concept cabin proposes the transformation of Hyundai vehicles from transportation to personalized mobility solution that suits various lifestyles. The interior now wraps around you and it offers a sense of cocoon and The vehicle being the EV, with vast reserves of electrical power is now capable of getting it used for various accessories and appliances. Which can bring in home appliances right in your car? The interior would be customizable as per the needs, taste, or lifestyle of the customers. A juicer mixer grinder inside maybe? Just kidding!

LG Electronics has taken a major role in what goes on inside the IONIQ interiors, it has helped Hyundai develop it. It provides an idea of what is possible in EV interiors. The “Clothing Care” and “Shoes Butler” programs will allow customers to handle mundane tasks while being driven-in, while they consume videos on the roof-mounted 77-inch flexible OLED screen. The sound is coming through the speakers, concealed in the headrests which makes personal sound zone. Hyundai Motor Company hints to offer such experiences starting with IONIQ 5, a dedicated EV which coms next year.

Hyundai is going big EV-wise and plans to become a market leader with the IONIQ brand of dedicated EV brand lineup. IONIQ vehicles will be based on the Electronic Global Modular Platform. Any further news on the IONIQ band of cars would be first seen on the Car Indigo. Stay tuned.
