The Macan SUV has worked wonders for the German brand Porsche for getting the most sales from their lineup, ever since it first debuted way back in 2014. Porsche gave the Macan a mid-life facelift in 2018, and now there are strong rumors running around the internet that Porsche is already on the final development stages of this refreshed Macan. There was also recent news about the all-new electric Macan being tested which will be released by the end of this year. The IC-engine Macan will also be receiving everything new for the 2022 model year.
There were new spy shots recently taken of the interior of the new Macan, with quite some changes. Porsche which was known for a plethora of physical buttons to operate everything has now replaced it with touch-sensitive ones which also come in the Cayenne. The shifter lever has also seen some gym here but the other things like the overall dashboard design remain unchanged.
The Macan that was spied was mostly without a camouflage this time and the design still looks mostly similar to the current generation. There are new front and rear bumpers to change the face and overall look of the car. There will be similar updates and treatment to the headlights and taillights will be new as well.
The powertrain for such an update mostly remains the same too, so expect the 2L inline-4 to exist which produces 242 hp of power and the same 2.9L V6 that produces 434 hp. The new 2022 Porsche Macan would arrive later this year and expect the electric Macan to hit by that time too.
