2022 Jaguar F-Type now only comes with a single-engine option and two trims. V8 has been made way for, discontinuing the inline-4 and V6 engine trims. The new V8 prices start at $71,050. Jaguar retains the top of the line 575hp F-Type R which will be available at the same price as before.

Jaguars have been facing the brunt of modern markets, legends like XJ have dropped from their lineup and there is no replacement as it stands canceled. The XF has been trying hard amongst the likes of Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but has been not doing well. One legendary car that still has it for the British company is the F-Type and it has been recently updated.

We shouldn’t be calling it an ‘update’ on the 2022 Jaguar F-Type as it will now come minus the two engines- the 2L inline-4 and the 3L V6 engine. Only one engine remains and that is the supercharged 5L V8. Well, that’s a good move to go ahead with considering there aren’t many V8s around.

The lesser variant trims P300 and P380 are discontinued and what comes as surprise is the new P450 is priced $10,000 lower than the outgoing P380 which places it perfectly. That is 70 horsepower more for a discount and the prices now start at an amazing $71,050. And the 2022 Jaguar F-Type R remains unbudged at $104,350.

Some key safety features include:

  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Driver Attention Warning
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
  • Forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking
  • Lane Change Assist (LCA)
  • Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)
  • Hill Start Assist Control (HAC)

2021 saw a huge update on the Jaguar F-type so this one remains very subtle. The only visible difference is the badges and wheels on the 2022 variant.
