The 2022 Hyundai Kona N will come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder motor with 276 horsepower and around 289 lb-ft of torque, all being directed to the front wheels with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The 2022 Hyundai Kona N after a lot of spy pictures, Nurburgring testing, no-camouflage ad shoot has been finally teased for a debut on April 27th. This will be the first time N-badge will be seen on the compact SUV and after this, the Elantra is scheduled to be ‘N’ badged. The sporty crossover would be released in an online digital event. Hyundai will also be revealing more about the future pans of N-badged cars and electrification of the existing models in the line-up.

The powertrain will be a 2L turbocharged inline-4 making 276 hp and the torque output isn’t put out by Hyundai as of now. As per the sources, it will be 289 pound-feet which is pretty hefty considering the power goes on to the electronically limited LSD front wheels.

The power will be put down using 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. It will have the gear ratios for quicker acceleration and speedy shifts compared to when it does usual duties. There is no information if the 2022 Hyundai Kona N will be offered with a manual transmission but an 8-speed dual-clutch unit is to come for sure.

The 2021 Hyundai Kona N had been already spied with no camouflage while doing a commercial shoot. The Kona N differs a lot in the way it looks, with a blacked-out logo and aggressive grille it has quite some sporty intentions. Black wheels with spaced spokes also help the brake caliper get some prominent looks. There is also red trim on the lower body to accentuate the character of the car.

Interiors would be suited to the sporty nature of the car and will be clear when it finally launches on April 27th. For now, we don’t have the prices of the Hyundai Kona N but will be released soon for the US dealerships after the launch.
