BMW for the year 2020 and now 2021 is becoming a talked-about-brand for both wrong and right reasons. Last year with the new M3 and M4 gained quite a polarizing response and this year they were seen testing the M4’s CSL version. Just a while ago they were also seen testing the M2 and it is raining M because a new ‘performance’ X5 was seen testing and there are spy pictures to prove.
Yes, it is the new X5 M that is getting tested and we see the camouflage wrap hiding just the right places on it. The most easily spottable difference is the headlights that have a change in its graphic and details. The lenses look the same but they have a ‘development phase’ look to them.
The front end clearly is updated and that is seen clearly with newly designed bumpers which are of a different color than the body. The rear too is fashioned in the very same manner with parts looking like swapped at the last minute. It hasn’t been longer than a couple of years that the last X5 M came in, so this is will be an update of a subtle kind.
The updates to the interior will be significant than the exteriors and yes, like all the cars that are coming in nowadays, it does have a large display screen. It is almost the size of the one seen on the BMW iX which is pretty wide and is slanted towards the driver to feed in more information.
The release of the new BMW X5 M is not known as of now but it will come as a 2022 model year that’s almost a certainty. It might come by the end of the 2021 or early next year. And that is also because there are an array of M-performance cars that are waiting to be released.
