The last quarter of 2020 saw a lot of special editions coming from the Japanese brand Lexus, especially the black line editions of the RX and the RC that grew a lot of prominence. The Lexus LC 500 is one of the fiercest cars in the Lexus’ lineup. While 471 hp doesn’t sound much but it is ample and rare as it is a naturally aspirated V8 engine. There is a new special inspiration series that takes the GT coupe to next level with an aviation-inspired design.
The new inspiration series is from the new partnership between air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and Lexus engineers. And hence the design takes a lot from the Muroya’s aircraft from the grip design of the control column and to maximizing the aerodynamics efficiencies. The partnership was assisted by Muroya on his path to winning the 2017 Red Bull Air Race World Championships. Which is another feat in itself.
And what makes this car exclusive is with only 100 units available it is as rare as it can get. The 2021 LC 500 Inspiration Series has a combination of features that include one exterior color, the superbly dark Obsidian, which is paired with bold and beautiful 21-inch black forged-alloy wheels. Also catching the eye is the carbon-fiber reinforced plastic roof as standard and it proves an extension with a perfect complement to with the carbon-fiber rear air wing spoiler. Let’s see what more lies in the inspiration series.
The other details include:

And that would really help how car reacts to the road.

The powertrain is the true and blue 5L naturally-aspirated V8 with an output of 471 hp and 398 lb.-ft. of peak torque. A 0 to 60 mph time of 4.4 seconds. Mated to a 10-speed direct-shift automatic transmission.
