The Super SUV from Lamborghini is expected to get major updates for 2021. Of them, the most-talked-about changes are the new Pearl Capsule and Graphite Capsule appearance packages. Lamborghini is further expected to introduce even more driver-assist features as standard for the 2021 Urus. Slated to go on sale sometime in October, the 2021 Lamborghini Urus will be priced at $218,009.

2021 Lamborghini Urus Latest Updates:

For 2021, Lamborghini gives Urus a new Graphite Capsule edition that has joined the duo of Pearl Capsule edition. But unlike the eye-popping colors, the newest addition gets an all-dark theme with subtle neon green inserts. The 2021 Urus gets several other features like ACC, Heads-Up Display, and Blind-spot monitoring as standard. There's also a refreshed key design and an improved park assist system which, sadly, still remains optional.

Read More About Lamborghini Urus:

Apart from these changes, the 2021 Lamborghini Urus will continue to be powered by the same 4.0L twin-turbo V8. The 2020 Lamborghini Urus SUV's price starts at $207,326, and for the 2021 Urus, there's been an increase in this MSRP by $10,683, bringing the total to 218,009. Since its inception in 2019, it made sure to make its presence felt and even gave birth to a whole new segment called SSUV!

The root purpose of this blistering SUV will remain the same even for 2021, so a used model of the Urus will also be a great deal. But with more standard driver-assist features, expect it to put forth its mental characteristics in a more mature way. Another interesting factor that will remain unchanged for the 2021 Lamborghini Urus is its competition that includes the likes of Bentley Bentayga, and all-new for 2021, the Aston Martin DBX.

What are the prices and features of the 2021 Lamborghini Urus?

The 2020 Urus didn't put forth any major changes, but there is great news for 2021. Lamborghini has already pitched in two new popping color updates for its first wave of 2021 Urus in the form of its Pearl Capsule edition. Now looking at Lamborghini's modus operandi, the 2021 Urus, will still focus on extracting maximum performance from its twin-turbo V8, but we expect the fuel-efficiency to increase too.

The feature-list of the Urus is set to take a turn for the better, with an updated optional Parking Assistance package among other things. There was also news of Lamborghini working on a one-make racing series having the Urus. Many components utilized in this project could trickle down into the road-going models and even give birth to an "SV" model.

Are there any engine updates for the 2021 Lamborghini Urus?

Urus features an engine that also has the German's hands in it. This 2-tonne SSUV utilizes a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 which is a modified version of Audi's 4.0L V8 rather than Lamborghini's signature V10 or V12s. This combination makes the engine capable of producing a staggering 641 hp and 627 lb-ft torque.

It comes coupled with a slick-shifting 8-Speed Automatic transmission. This will remain unchanged for 2021, at least for the standard model. The Lambo produces a whole lot more power than the others, almost 100 horsepower in excess, and also takes the top spot in terms of outright torque figures.

Even though all three cars have similar capacity engines, they are tuned very differently, and hence, return different levels of thrills. Both Bentley Bentayga and Aston Martin DBX have their engines tuned for comfort and smooth shifting, whereas Urus has it tuned for brutal performance.

How fast will the 2021 Lamborghini Urus accelerate from 0-60 MPH?

An AWD powertrain helps a vehicle of such dimensions and weight to go as fast as 190 MPH. Urus also has an impressive power to weight ratio, which directs all the torque to the rear axle, proving that it's worthy of the "raging bull" slapped onto it.

All of these figures allow the Lamborghini Urus to sprint from 0-60 MPH in a blistering 3.1 seconds. Furthermore, the 2021 Lamborghini Urus will get standard carbon-ceramic brakes that are said to bring the Urus to a complete standstill from 70 mph in just 149 ft. The rumored track-focused weapon will go all out, and we can't wait for Lamborghini to release the specs of it!

What kind of MPG figures will the 2021 Lamborghini Urus offer?

Those of whom can afford to buy a Lamborghini Urus will seldom worry about how many miles to the gallon the SSUV delivers. Nevertheless, if we are talking about outright MPG figures, this is one area where the Lamborghini doesn't outshine its rivals. The 2021 Lamborghini Urus is expected to retain efficiency figures of 12 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway, which isn't bad at all for an off-roader that can do 190 MPH all day!

Moreover, the immense amount of torque that this raging bull produces, is sure to have an effect on its fuel-efficiency. The combined figure will stand at 14 MPG which could have dropped down to single digits if not for the impressively flexible driving modes offered in the Urus. It helps the powertrain to act accordingly, with just the right amount of madness so that you can enjoy its sweet symphony with fewer gas stops. The sharp design language and compact form factor also steal a bit of the fuel capacity.

But the 19.8-gallon fuel tank does indeed help to a certain cause, by not letting it dry out on long weekend rides. MPG figures are not exactly in the 2021 Urus's favor here but we expect that to change in the near future. But till then, the Aston Martin DBX impresses us with its balanced fuel-efficiency nature and rather bold cruising potential. Bentley slides in between the two extremes but gets the largest fuel tank of them all.

Will there be any updates to the interior of the 2021 Lamborghini Urus?

Lamborghini never goes wrong with cabin designs. Here, exotic Italian interior craftsmanship meets high-end technology. Urus has a very futuristic cabin layout which is a fusion of wood, leather, and Alcantara microfiber. All of this will be carried over for the 2021 model year but with added color pops. The rear seats are comfortable and can be had in either a bench form or else in the form of bucket seats. You get a spacious setting with way.

Lamborghini has recently introduced the Pearl Capsule package for the Urus which gives it two eye-popping colors and can be seen from miles afar. This new package lends in two-tone stitching for the seats. Apart from the newly added colors, all other aspects on the inside will be retained for 2021 with possibly a new update for the infotainment interface along with more standard creature comfort features.

The exact figures for the interior dimensions of Urus and DBX aren't available as of now. But looking at the trends, we do know that Urus is pretty close to Bentayga, which only means that it is quite spacious in itself with enough room for everyone to sit comfortably. The Urus also provides 21.75 cubic feet of cargo space with rear bench seats, and a decline in about 2-inches when equipped with rear bucket seats which are, although less than Aston Martin, just fine for an SSUV.

Various creature comfort features of the 2021 Lamborghini urus are:

  • 3 TFT screens and Head-up Display
  • Q-Citura leather sports seats
  • Heated Steering Wheel with controls
  • Surround View 360 degree Camera
  • Heated and ventilated front-row seats
  • Acoustic and heat-insulated glasses

What are infotainment updates for the 2021 Lamborghini Urus?

The 2021 Urus features the Lamborghini Infotainment System III, more or less inherited from Audi's MMI infotainment system, which is one of the most intuitive units in the industry right now. The center console houses two TFT touch screens with 3D visualization, one controls the air-con unit and the seat controls, while the other has many functionalities such as audio, vehicle status, and navigation.

The 2021 model doesn't need to change a thing of this already perfect infotainment setup that makes it a key highlight for the futuristic cabin in the Urus. An individual screen is also present for the second-row passengers so that they don't ever feel left out. Various infotainment features in the 2021 Lamborghini Urus are:

  • 1,700-watt, 21-speaker Bang & Olufsen Ultra Premium Audio System
  • Apple CarPlay / Android Auto / Bluetooth
  • AM/FM/DAB Radio services
  • Multi-source rear audio controls
  • 3D view camera with dynamic guidelines
  • Traffic Management System

What are the changes for the 2021 Lamborghini Urus exterior?

Even when going forward with the bold decision of bringing out an SUV after a long long time, Lamborghini made extra sure that the design reciprocates with the madness of the automaker. And it's contenting to say that they excelled at it. Well, it sure does take a few inspirations off the Aventador, but the Urus is a whole new bold take on SUVs, and it is going to continue largely unchanged for 2021, albeit with a few minor changes.

We might get to see a bit wider and even lower Urus for 2021, due to the expected new package iterations and track-focused models. That and apart from the new candy shades, Giallo Inti, Arancio Borealis, and Verde Mantis, we expect the Lamborghini Urus to remain unchanged. But well, its Lamborghini, and they might have a few surprises up its sleeve that hasn't become a rumor yet. Moreover, Urus's bulking proportions are also a cause for its major popularity.

Bentley Bentayga is the largest and the heaviest of this lot, but as an SUV it doesn't matter a lot. Ironically the Urus has the maximum ground clearance of this bunch in one of its modes, which makes it a better choice for off-roading. In other modes, it loves sticking closer to the tarmac. Aston Martin DBX is the most compact looking car of this bunch which has its marginal perks in cities.

Various exterior features of the 2021 Lamborghini Urus are:

  • 21-23 inch alloy wheels
  • Adaptive Matrix LED headlights
  • Frameless doors
  • Aluminum hood
  • Carbon ceramic disc brakes
  • Carbon Fiber Splitter, front grill blades, side skirts, and rear valance

What are the safety feature updates for the 2021 Lamborghini Urus?

Urus hasn't been crash-tested and rated by either the NHTSA or the IIHS yet, and therefore, the safety scores are unavailable. But Lamborghini has not cut any corners with safety for the Urus and the safety quotient is expected to continue unchanged for 2021 as well. Along with the already impressive bunch of safety features, the 2021 Lamborghini Urus also gets improved active safety features along with driver assistance features, which include the Standard Active Parking Assist package.

Various safety features in the 2021 Lamborghini Urus are:

  • Adaptive cruise control with stop and go
  • Lane departure warning
  • Adaptive front lighting
  • Forward collision warning plus
  • Rear cross path
  • Blindspot assist
  • Lane-keep assist
  • Tire pressure monitoring system
  • Hill descent control

When will the 2021 Lamborghini Urus launch and is it worth the adrenaline rush?

No other SUV provides an extreme level of performance, technology, and comfort as the Urus. If you are comfortable paying around the $218,000 for this beast, it is the best possible choice. Otherwise, there are other sane options to choose from, minus the fun! The 2021 Lamborghini Urus will bring on these great features along with a few upgrades and additions for sure.

But the hype will be on its new fun color-oriented Pearl Capsule package for sure, which is rumored to have a black-trimmed roof, and also a rear diffuser and spoiler. The only catch here is that we would have to hold on to our patience till the first quarter of 2021 to see one in flesh.
