Jeep has come out with a new option on its site for building its Wrangler model, a half door that would replace the regular doors. The American giant has just released a new teaser of the half doors, basically the doors with no window frame and manually removable plastic windows. The kind of doors was offered back in the day and it is back to be put as an option.
The new option was figured out with the configurator tool on Jeep’s site. The half-door can be optioned and it is available on both two-door and the four-door variant of the Wrangler and also on the High Altitude and 4xe hybrid models.
Also, there are two more options that can be had on the half-door option. While the standard version would get you a basic fabric upper part and the premium option would get you the higher quality upper part. There is also an option of power-heated mirrors and a speed-sensitive self-locking door system. The standard half door with fabric upper part will be costing $2,350 on the two-door version and $3,995 on the four-door model.
And if you want to order premium instead of fabric upper on the door you will have to pay $200 on the two-door model and $400 on the four-door one. You can always go back to the stock doors because they come along. The fun part is that Gladiator can also opt with similar half-doors as the Wrangler shares the part number with it. There’s also a new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 with a 6.5L V8 engine which was recently released. Also new for 2021 was the Jeep Wrangler 4xe that made Jeep embark on the eco-friendly route.
