Just days after Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley dropped in teasers of an upcoming SUV, we now know what this vehicle was. Ford has launched the King Ranch Edition of its Explorer in the market. The midsize SUV by Ford is apparently the most selling SUV in the American market. And with the new King Ranch trim it gets rugged, off-road-ready and premium appearance to it. The name is inspired by the iconic Texas ranches which have a difficult and tough terrain.

2021 Ford Explorer King Ranch Edition Interiors and Features
Ford has improved a lot on the quality of interior on this one and from the customer feedback they have come up with a refined interior. It now comes with quality touches like mahogany-colored Mesa Del Rio leather seats with perforation on front and second rows it all is detailed with the King Ranch Running W logo. Also comes inside are the leather door trim rollovers, a leather-wrapped and stitched instrument panel which is added with Sapele wood appliqués and also a leather-wrapped steering wheel with Norias stitching and a Sapele wood insert. The combination of wood and leather gives a very warm and rich feel to the cabin.

2021 Ford Explorer King Ranch Edition Engine
Under the hood is a standard 3 L EcoBoost engine which is able to produce 365 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque, this with a four-wheel-drive system makes it a pretty capable off-the-road. Also on offer is the rear-wheel-drive configuration. The gearbox is a 10-speed automatic transmission with the SelectShift option where you can also change the gears manually with a touch.
2021 Ford Explorer King Ranch Edition Price and Launch Date
Not only the King Ranch but another variant is offered by Ford on the Explorer, the XLT Sport Appearance Package which now comes with a new interior finish and exterior colors. The 2021 Ford Explorer King Ranch edition will be starting at an MSRP of $52,350 if rear-wheel-drive and $54,350 if four-wheel drive. The SUV is landing in dealerships by spring.
