The M2 competition is a power-packed compact coupe that has made fans in a very short period of time. Its sales numbers are good enough and the car is full of surprises. The future is bright for the M2 Competition, and if the 2021 BMW M4 is any indication of what's upcoming, we're hopeful still.

How is the Engine and Performance in the 2021 BMW M2 Competition?

All the cars depict good performance. The engine type is similar inline except the Cayman with its H-type. The price bracket is near but again Porsche is quite a bit costly. Manual and auto-shifts transmission options are available. M2 delivers maximum horses but Mercedes and Porsche have better RPM.

The torque output is amazing on the M2 but RPM is better on the Merc. The BMW M2 Competition puts up a reliable performance every time. All in all, the rivals are fierce. The upcoming M2 has to get up a notch to become a better choice against its rivals, BMW will definitely boost the M2.

How fast is the BMW M2 Competition?

The M2 Competition is not the quickest in the segment but it achieves a good rank. Porsche is the fastest in terms of both 0-60 mph and quarter-mile run beating the M2 by mere 2 seconds and CLA 45 by a second. The Cayman S can attain a top speed of whopping 180 mph followed by the BMW M2 at 174 mph.

The M2 does not set any good example for carbon emissions, while the Porsche has surprisingly low emissions. The CLA 45 have similar top speeds and near about Carbon emissions. The 2021 M2 is presumed to have better performance while also improving the CO2 emissions.

How is the Ride and Handling in the M2 Competition?

The BMW M2 offers proper M badged equipment that makes a standard well to do 2 Series with nimble handling a more responsive machine. The suspension grabs the feel of the road and holds the car in its place. The corner-cutting on the M2 has never been better, thanks to immense stability.

The design is quite aerodynamic and enhances overall performance and control. The M2 with its true coupe design offers a sleek ride and with available riding modes, it does get better. We can hope that the M2 of the future will be a better successor.
