The Jaguar I-Pace is a popular premium-compact-SUV introduced back in 2019. The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace remains unchanged from the outgoing model. With a starting price tag of $71,450, the I-Pace is slated at an expensive price compared to most of its rivals. The compact agile SUVS are the rodents of the road, but after the launch of the car under review today, the market is going to change. Coming in hot, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is the brand’s first electric crossover SUV. The car was launched in 2019 and has made several appearances in the news since then. Congratulations to Jaguar, for bagging the world's best car design of the year award in just two years of production. The I-Pace sure has some catches that got an accolade under its belt and has made the first venture of the company in SUVs a roaring success.
The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace, might be compact but does not fall behind in terms of power. The SUV comes with dual electric motors under the hood, to keep the car running. The engine puts out some decent power, and matched with the smooth electric experience, the drive feels comfortable and plush. The price bracket and the features that it comes with, put it head to head against a few competitors on the road, which include, Polestar 2, Tesla Model 3 Performance and the Audi E-Tron Sportback. Let’s see how the car compares to its competition and how well of a deal the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is.

Final Verdict
The Jaguar I-Pace comes in three different trims, namely, S, SE, and the HSE. The powertrain configuration does not vary through the trim levels but the interior does change a lot. With a subtle change to the aesthetics, the interiors on the higher trim levels provide better functionality and luxurious feel.
For starters, the SE trim receives a set of memory seats, 1-touch down, preconditioning HVAC, and much more added to the pallet. The HSE trims add to the features available in the S and the SE trims and add a few more, which takes the experience to another level. The infotainment can now be controlled using basic voice cues and the speakers don’t just multiply in quantity but also quality.

S the basic trim comes with dual electric motors giving out a 395 HP. The powertrain is supported by the smooth I-Pace transmission that makes this already smooth ride even smoother. The list of the standard features is long, as expected from Jaguar, and the interiors although less packed, do not feel cheap at all in comparison to the higher trim levels.
SE this trim serves as the middle ground between the basic trim and the full blown-out version of the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace, the HSE. There are no changes whatsoever in the powertrain, but the interiors are more refined and feel more functional and premium. The infotainment is kept the same, but with a few more features than the base trim. This trim feels like a wholesome package as a SUV from Jaguar.
HSE this trim is the most luxurious of all the trims, and you pay quite a lot for that luxury as well. The interiors get a revamp, in terms of premium infotainment and prime seating arrangements. The creature comforts really comfort the creature that sits inside the cabin. Jokes aside, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace HSE trim is one hell of a SUV in terms of power and luxury.
The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace comes in three different trims, as discussed earlier. The base model starts at $71,450 and ranges up to $80,000 for the HSE trim. The price tag may be considered hefty, but the features that they add to the car justifies the cost. The build quality is solid and the design already has awards under its belt. There are no complaints regarding the experience, as the engine feels powerful, yet not too grumpy and the smooth multi-link suspension takes care of any of the irregularities present on the road.
The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace receives one of the best warranties available in the market. The warranty covers 5 years or 60,000 miles of limited and powertrain warranty, 8 years or 100,000 miles of warranty for electric components, and a staggering 5 years of complimentary service from the date of purchase.

That is something impressive. Now you can say “bye” to the maintenance costs and “hello” to the explorations due.
The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is one of the best luxury crossover SUVS out there. Even though this is the first attempt of Jaguar in the SUV segment, the car has evolved over the 2 years, it has been in service and is constantly developing.
The SE trim is the most value for money trim amongst the others, as it provides a middle ground in terms of raw performance and creature comforts. This trim is a complete package in itself and gives the competition a run for their money.
The 2021 model year is going to be the second year of service for Jaguar I-Pace in the industry. The car is still fresh and developing inevitably. Considering that, buying an old Jaguar I-Pace must not be a problem at all. So if you don’t have a huge budget and want practicality with agility for your commute, a used Jaguar I-Pace might be your thing.
The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is a fun car to drive by all means. With the dual electric motors that come under the hood, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace receives a 395 HP of raw power output and a staggering 512lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated with the I-Pace automatic transmission that gives an overwhelmingly smooth ride experience to this car.
The dual motors are 95kwh each and power the car without any difficulty. The battery pack is positioned in such a way that the car gets a low center of gravity and a fantastic balance that helps in maneuvering the car in tight turns. Speaking of maneuverability, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace comes with a standard AWD which does not bother you with the irregularities of the road and gives you a memorable experience.

The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace, sure isn’t the most rugged in its category. Tesla takes the lead with their 450 HP engine but they also have years of experience in both electric cars and making SUVs, whereas the Jaguar I-Pace is the company’s first effort in the SUV industry. However, we all know the raw power does not mean actual on-road performance and agility and that is what is up next.
The acceleration on the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is quite the snazzy. Though the dual electric motors mated with the I-Pace automatic transmission produces only 395 HP, the neck-breaking 512 lb-ft of torque does the job here. The car moves really fast on the road and there is nothing to hold it back.
Jumping straight to the numbers, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace can race 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds, which is quite impressive. Speaking of impressive, the car crosses the quarter-mile mark in just 12.6 seconds as well. The AWD drivetrain is what adds a little boost to the performance, and the smooth transmission works like clockwork.
The car, with its compact design and the boxy feel, has some optimized aerodynamics that really pushes through the wind in no time. On top of all this, like a cherry, the engine drags a heavy 4200+ pound vehicle, which makes the numbers look even more impressive.
Having done with the acceleration, let’s see how the brakes in the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace works. The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace does not come with the best brakes in the market. The brake pedal has been reported to be uneven and the braking is also not linear. Despite this shortcoming, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is a really fun car to drive around and speed through traffic and highways, and remember, we don’t recommend the former.

The Tesla holds the ground with its massively powerful engine, but the surprising fact is that the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is the second-best in terms of agility. The car is faster than both, the polestar and the Audi.
Now, the best part of an electric car is that they are very fuel-efficient. The story goes on with the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace as well. Coming straight to the numbers, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace gives you a staggering MPGe of 80 in the suburbs, 72 on the highway, and 76 combined. This means, not only this car is an economic commute to work, it can run long stretches without a lot of stops.
The staggeringly high MPGe numbers are definitely a result of the very efficient dual electric motor setup and the fast charging 90kwh battery. According to the manufacturers, the 2021 Jaguar pace can get fully charged in just 8.6 hours which is way faster than the previous edition.
The good thing is, that the car can be charged in just 1.5 hours if you have a 440V supply. The decent range combined with the charging times gives you the complete practicality package you’ve always wanted.

Tesla also does a wonderful job at 141 MPGe. However, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace is the fastest charging car out of the bunch, which balances out the irregularities in terms of MPGe figures.

The minimum usage of tactile buttons adds to the aesthetic of the entire cabin and the materials used in this car make you feel the money you spent. The dashboard is covered in screens, literally which really adds a futuristic vibe to it. Moving on to the comfort, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace can comfortably seat 4 people in the leather upholstered seats, with memory settings. The adjustability of the seats is perfect for anyone to drive this car. the interiors feel spacious, with the elongated dimensions of this SUV. The headroom and legroom make you feel like you’re sitting in a sedan.
The car has a dual-zone climate control with controls at the back as well. The door panels are covered in soft-touch material, which adds to the whole luxurious feel. The overall design is very ergonomic and uses every inch of the space without making it look overcrowded. The proximal instrument panel keeps the driver’s focus on the roads and still is accessible within a jiffy.
