Apart from the performance-oriented SVR which is expected to be available somewhere around late 2021, the 2021 Jaguar F-PACE will be available in four different trim levels and the F-PACE S 340 trim is one of them. It will be powered by an all-new twin-charged 6-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid assist producing 335 HP. Some of the noticeable changes for the 2021 model include a refreshed exterior with new headlamps as well as a slightly refreshed interior. However, it retains the same dynamic characteristics and agile handling like the previous model.

2021 Jaguar F-PACE S SUV Maintenance, Reliability and Warranty

Jaguar is typically well known for making well-built cars with nicely put together interior and exterior with good reliability as well and the F-PACE is no exception. But make no mistake; the F-PACE is not your typical family SUV. It is a luxurious piece of engineering designed and developed by the engineers at Jaguar and all those luxury techs and features are bound to make the car a bit expensive to own and maintain.

Reliability and Ownership Costs

Although no doubt about the reliability of the car, the F-PACE S 340 being a luxury SUV makes it a bit expensive to own and maintain. On average, you could expect to shell out roughly about $69,000 in 5 years in terms of ownership cost when you buy a brand new F-PACE S 340. This isn’t anything unusual for an up-market luxury SUV. But on the bright side, the depreciation rate is quite normal and you don’t have to worry about losing your car’s value anytime soon.

The average price paid for the 2020 Jaguar F-PACE with a 6-cylinder engine is about $57,480. The people from Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon, Atlanta, and Delaware enjoy the lowest prices as they have exempted the sales taxes.

2021 Jaguar F-PACE S SUV Buying Advice

The F-PACE is an interesting choice in the space of compact luxury crossover SUVs. Although there might be better alternatives by the Germans in this segment, this model has its own characteristics and its own value proposition that makes the F-PACE unique on its own. The attractive exterior, refined interiors and breathtaking performance makes the vehicle really unique and stand out in the market. And although there might be similar or better options out there, you won’t go wrong buying an F-PACE for your driveway.

Is buying a used Jaguar F-PACE S 340 SUV a good idea?

Since cars from Jaguar are pretty well made and are very reliable, buying a used Jaguar F-PACE S 340 SUV should never be an issue, given the car has been decently well maintained and regularly serviced. Moreover, the depreciation rate is fairly low for the car standing somewhere around 59% in five years’ time, which is quite impressive, to be honest. Nonetheless, getting one at a reasonable price and decently well maintained shouldn’t be that tough if you do some digging.

Although the 2021 F-PACE S 340’s performance figures should be quite comparable with its competitors, it will still probably be outperformed by some of its competitors. That being said, performance should not be a priority for the target customers of the S 340 trim, so, that should not be an issue.

Although fuel economy should not be a concern for the people who are able to afford to buy an upmarket SUV like the Jaguar F-PACE, getting good fuel economy and mileage figures is never a bad thing.

That being said, the mileage figures for the 2021 F-PACE S 340 are yet to be determined, but it could be expected to be in the similar ballpark of its competitors, if not better thanks to its MHEV technology. As of now, the MPG figures of the new Audi Q5 looks quite promising with its claimed combined mileage of around 31.4 to 32.1 mpg.

That being said, the previous model was well equipped with most of the modern advanced safety features and driving aids; hence, the 2021 F-PACE could be expected to be similarly safe, if not safer. But as NHTSA hasn’t performed any crash tests with the F-PACE yet, it is hard to judge the safety quotient of the car and compare it with its competitors.

  • Rear Traffic Monitor
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Steering Assist

For the 2021 F-PACE, Jaguar is bringing some huge improvements to an already amazing car. Although the F-PACE faces tough competition from some of its more capable competitors, it still has the potential to hold its own value proposition in the market. The F-PACE has its unique look and road presence which only a few other cars in the market could match. Moreover, the comfortable ride quality, refined interiors, the raw performance you get from the motor and the overall sense of British-ness you get in the car sets it apart from the rest of the cars in its segment.
