The subcompact SUVs, compact SUVs, and crossovers have become some of the priority choices of flavor amongst car buyers. The SUVs and crossovers which make their way into the sub-compact SUV and compact SUV segment are more focused on the on-road performances and capabilities than the off-road performances.
Apart from the performances, safety is one of the important features in which any SUV should be equipped and excel. Since safety is a primary aspect, Hyundai never lets down its customers in this important aspect by equipping its models with a well-built structure and several safety features that could prevent the vehicle and its occupants from experiencing a collision.
The 2021 Hyundai Kona comes with all the standard and some additional safety features like its siblings. Instead of theoretically talking about the features of the SUV we can dive into the figures and facts which are reported by two highly capable organizations who test and report every vehicle that runs on American soil.
Outward vision is mostly fine, but the rearward view from the Kona’s driver seat isn’t great, thanks to its thick roof pillars. - Thecarconnection.com
2021 Hyundai Kona: Active And Passive Safety features
The 2021 Hyundai Kona comes loaded to the brim with class-leading safety features from standard airbags, pretensioners, and crumple zones. The Hyundai Kona also inherits those features from its siblings to keep and the occupants safe and sound, the details of some of the features are as follows:
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist:- The forward collision avoidance assist uses a radar to scan the road ahead and sends a warning to the driver as audio and video through the instrument cluster. The car will automatically apply the brakes and avoid the possible collision. The system is not 100% reliable, but can definitely reduce the impact of the accident.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning:- The Kona is equipped with a rear cross-traffic collision warning system that uses sensors to scan for perpendicular traffic while backing out of a parking space. An information display or alert will be displayed to the driver if the system detects any vehicle that comes on the way or that could possibly collide. The sensors are kept at the corners of the rear bumper for maximum range.
Blind Spot Collision Warning:- The Hyundai Kona is equipped with a blind spot collision warning system. When the system detects a vehicle or an object in the blind spot, a warning appears on the OVRM of the same side. This is done by a Radar that scans the blindspots of the driver. There are scenarios where bikers and small vehicles are not seen in the blindspots. If the drivers still decide to take a turn or change lanes the system alerts the driver with an audio signal.
Driver Attention Warning:- The Kona is offered with a driver’s attention warning system which continuously monitors the driving pattern of the driver. It may happen sometime that the driver tends to feel drowsy or distracted because of the work pressure and another environment, at these times when the system detects those symptoms then it will flash an audio cue and displays a warning to make the driver more attentive and focused or to take some rest by parking the vehicle.
Lane Keep Assist:- This system keeps the Kon in a lane by providing minor steering inputs and warning labels to correct the direction automatically. The feature requires the presence of the driver’s hands on the steering wheel or else the car would come to a safe stop. The LKA system uses front-mounted radar to scan the road ahead for lane markings.
High Beam Assist:- The Hyundai Kona comes with a high-beam assist technology system. When the car detects an oncoming car using photo sensors and cameras, scanning for oncoming headlights, it lowers the high beam automatically to prevent blinding the driver in the other car.
Is the 2021 Hyundai Kona safe enough?
The result of Global crash tests along with the puissant list of safety features, we can clearly say that the 2021 Hyundai Kona is one of the safest cars on sale. There are often scenarios where drivers tend to hit motorcycles and cars while turning as they are in the blindspot, off your field of view.

My new awesome commuter.
Pros - Great visbility, right size, comfortable, easy to manuever
Cons - No cons as of now.
Bets pick. Got myself a fully loaded one for under 28 grand. My husband was not very satisfied with the purchse, but I adore it. Delna at Norm Reeves Hyundai was one of my classmates and she was the one who hooked me up with this car; Gave me around $750 cashback and a couple of free accessories too. I have been taking this car to work for quite some time now and it feels better any every way possible than my previous car, a 2015 Sentra. Thaks to Delna I could get a nice offer on my new Kona. really appreciate all her efforts to make things easy for.

Well rounded vehicle
Pros - Efficient, interior, driving dynamics
Cons - Sound system, dash
Easy to work with Easy to work on this car. Handles very well and is a pleasure to drive, especially on winding roads. City mpg is slightly disappointing given the size of the car but the performance value is there. I've been getting 26-27 mpg average, so not bad at all Potamkin Hyundai of New York is a stellar organization. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new car.

A Capable Compact Subaru!
Pros - "Upscale cabin Easy-to-use infotainment system Energetic turbocharged engine available"
Cons - "Lacks advanced smartphone connectivity features Central touch screen controls most functions and can be distracting"
The luxuarious one Hyundai Kona Electric Ultimate in 2021. This is a truly remarkable car. The range of 258 miles is not an underestimate. The Ultimate has a lot of cool features. The heads-up show is very useful. The cruise control sets the speed and distance from the vehicle ahead of you automatically. Jodi and Kevin were great through the whole process. They took care of everything by email and text, and then after a three hour drive they got me out the door in my new car in less than an hour.
