The base SE trim comes with convenient features such as cruise control, Reversing camera, and 60/40 split rear seats. It’s worth mentioning that the base variant gets 15” steel rims with wheel covers. The SEL is the mid-spec variant and will cost you $1,500 more than the base. Hyundai Accent offers 3 trims in its lineup, the SEL costing $17,650 is the one that offers the best value for money. Though the powertrain and the suspension are shared across the range, this model comes with a standard automatic transmission. The SEL comes with 15” alloy wheels and a chrome beltline below the windows. The infotainment system is also of better quality in the more expensive SEL variant as it offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 7-inch color touchscreen display audio as standard features.
"Still, the Accent feels lively, its small body is easily tossed into corners, and it's even rewarding when pushed." - Caranddriver
The 2021 Hyundai Accent is equipped with a 1.6-liter inline-4 naturally aspirated engine. The 2021 Hyundai Accent is capable of producing 120 hp @ 6,300 rpm and a peak torque of 113 lb-ft @4,500 rpm. The power is transmitted using either a 6-speed manual for the base SE trim or a 6-speed intelligent varying transmission (IVT) for other variants. At an average price of $17,750, the available engine specifications are too good to be true.
2021 Hyundai Accent Sedan Engine
The Hyundai Accent is $1400 more expensive than its nearest rivals. It offers more in terms of power and features that are included in the base model. The sedan that comes the closest to the Accent is the Nissan Versa with 122 hp. The handling characteristics of the Hyundai Accent are poor when compared to its rivals. It lacks sufficient feedback from the steering which makes it feel a bit too light on the highway.

In competition, the 2021 Hyundai proves to the nest with its combined range of 427 miles on a full tank. However, this is only because of the massive fuel tank of the Accent. Otherwise, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 has a better gas mileage offering, 35 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and a combined mileage of 37 mpg.
"With seating for five (well, four and a bit), the 2021 Accent enjoys a cabin that’s well laid out and comes across at first glance as classier than its value-oriented price might imply." - Kbb
The 2021 Hyundai Accent features cloth seating surfaces and a 6-way adjustable driver seat as standard across the range. The SEL and Limited variants are further enhanced by dual USB charging, passenger-side seatback pocket, and driver’s sliding armrest storage box. The other additional features include heated front seats, a powered sunroof, and a user-friendly hands-free smart trunk release as standard only on the high-end Limited trim.
2021 Hyundai Accent Sedan Cockpit Area
When it comes to the interior space, the 2021 Hyundai Accent is similar to the 2020 model. Considering the numbers there is ample room for the front occupants possibly a class best front room. But the situation takes a steep turn when it comes to the rear seating. Due to the sloping roof, the headroom of the Accent is a bit scarce. More on the rear seats, the legroom is not at all in abundance and tall passengers will be cramped. The trunk capacity of the vehicle is 13.7ft which is at par with its rivals.

The base SE variant of the 2021 Hyundai Accent, comes equipped with just the basic 5” colored infotainment system and a 4 speaker audio system. This is dialed up in the SEL and Limited variants, which gets all the necessary tech like a 7” infotainment system with a 6 speaker sound system. The top trims also feature Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and, Bluetooth telephony with voice recognition. For the driver, the MID also displays a bit more information on the SEL variant one such inclusion is the outside temperature readout.
2021 Hyundai Accent Sedan Infotainment System
Apart from all the highlight features that we mentioned above, with respect to the trim in which it would be found, the 2021 Hyundai Accent offers some other Standard interior and infotainment features across their line-up, the list of the same is given below:
"The Hyundai Accent 4-door is a handsome looking thing but will fly under most radars" - Carbuzz
The 2021 Accent looks distinctive when compared to its rivals. Where the rivals look a bit too bland, Hyundai Accent delivers a sense of elegance with the big bold grille upfront which is complemented by LED headlights and LED taillights on the Limited variant. The base SE trim only packs in what's necessary. 17” alloy wheels in the limited trim and 15 inches on the SEL trim.
Comparing the car to its rivals, it surely is not the longest or the widest but is surely more than adequate. The 101.6-inches of wheelbase opens up space in the rear seats but not by a large amount making the car a bit cramped in the rear. Even the low height of 57.1 inches reduces the headroom in the rear. Apart from that, the Accent is generously large.

"The Accent won't turn any heads or thrill in the bends, but it does everything relatively well, from using small amounts of fuel to keeping its occupants safe in the event of a crash." - Carbuzz

The 2021 Accent does offer Forward Collision Advanced Assist (FCA) but it is offered only in the Limited Trim. The other standard safety features that it offers across all the trims are pretty decent and effective. The exquisite list of features involves the following:
Mitsubishi is the weakest link in the entry-level sedan segment. It is the slowest, the smallest, and offers a decent kit of features but is nowhere near the segment-leading Hyundai Accent. Well, it is evident as Mitsubishi is the cheapest amongst its rivals. The 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 stands out in terms of fuel economy when compared to the Accent.
Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Sedan
2021 Hyundai Accent VS Nissan Versa
The 2021 Nissan Versa provides a close battle with the Hyundai Accent. Though Nissan is the bigger of the two it is slightly low on power in spite of a 1.6L engine. The acceleration times are also low as compared to the Korean rival. But when it comes to the amount of space on the inside Versa has considerably more space especially at the rear. Both cars feature the same latest tech like the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Here Hyundai makes more sense as it is a bit cheaper than the Nissan.
The 2021 Hyundai Accent offers the best value-for-money experience if you are after an entry-level sedan. It is the most powerful of the lot and offers all the latest tech and gizmos to entertain the occupants. Coupled with Hyundai's after-sales service and reliability, the 2021 Hyundai Accent will be a complete package and a nice addition to your garage.

Cons - No CD player, not enough cupholders, diminutive infotainment screen
From the stand point of day to day usage, the 2020 Accent does wonders and doesn't have anything missing. The CVT ride has been impressive so far. The handling is a little numb compared to my previous car and took a while to get used to. Has more than enough gas mileage. I repeat, practically this car has everything one needs to drive it daily. From the stand point of day to day usage, the 2020 Accent does wonders and doesn't have anything missing. The CVT ride has been impressive so far. The handling is a little numb compared to my previous car and took a while to get used to. Has more than enough gas mileage. I had to add cargo tray package along with all the standard ones which only costed me $300. My Hyundai Accent has heated front seats which is very helpful with the kind of weather we have here. Has air conditioning as wel. It has a very big cargo space to store stuff and the rear seats fold as well to accomodate for extra storage. The driver seats can be adjusted 6 ways including the height of the seat as well, automatic defogger for those rainy days and also has rear view camera. The sunroof also comes standard. The only thing I didn't like that much is the size of the touchscreen. An inch bigger would have been better. Also a few extra cup holders always come handy. Out and out, Hyundai Accent has a decent design. LED headlight and fog lights, integrated blinkers on side mirrors, chrome grille and keyless entry contribute to that elegantly decent design. With this price bracket, Hyundai has managed to deliver best in class safety features as well. Among many safety features Blind spot mirror, stability and traction management, Forward collision assist, Hill assist, child safety locks in second row and tire pressure monitoring system. Although the tire pressue monitor is not something I trust now since it several times gave warning for low pressure wherein everything was perfect when checked. Since Hyundai Accent doesn't have many fancy features to play around with, I believe that is the reason for its good reliability behaviour till now. A few petty issues with normal maintenance is what it is asking for in return to daily use. My Hyundai Accent Limited edition costed me $20,530 including the cargo package. Great buy. Great and straight forward
Pros - Price, great mileage, Bluetooth feature with voice recognition
Cons - Squealing sound while braking, no turn indicators on side mirrors, LED lights should be standard
We bought our 2020 Accent after trading our previous 2012 Veloster. The all new Hyundai Accent 2020 drives pretty disciplined in the city as well as highway. The only issue for which we have visited the dealership twice is the squealing sound of the brakes. Whenever the brake pedal is pressed beyond 60 mph, it results in this creepy sound. The first time we took it to the dealership, after waiting for 6 hours straight, they said it is fixed although didn't charge us for it. After a few days, it started to happen again and we took it again to the same dealership and this time the engineer who looked into it kept saying there is nothing wrong. He took it to a ride with me on the passenger seat and to my surprise there was no sound when he pressed the brakes. I'm not sure if there is anything I'm not doing correctly. I have checked multiple forums for this with no luck. Any help on this would be appreciated. Apart from all this, car drives fantastic. Has Cruise control and rear view camera as well. Inbuilt bluetooth connectivity has also been provided with voice commands. Enough USB ports to charge phones as well. No hyper looking curves or body lines. Hyundai Accent has a simple sleek decent dignified design and we like that. The looks and interiors surely exceed the overall price of this car. Has Airbags in first row only. Our Hyundai Accent does have multiple safety features but as much as I hate to say , they are nothing compared to the safety features nowadays cars are having. A little work needed here as well by Hyundai. Relibility has been acceptable so far only if this issue in the brakes went away. I would be glad if anyone has a solution to this brake thing. I know I'm not the only one with this issue of brakes. $19,240. Good deal. Got the car delivered to my door step with half a tank of gas in it.
Pros - Comfort, Great price with great standard features
Cons - Ground clearance
Well thought out and designed vehicle. The gas mileage is not a trade off for a loss of power. The car handles like a dream and space is not a compromise. Fast and responsive is what i like to call this car. It is designed to offer good amount of comfort and driving performance in this small price bracket where you dont have much options. Android Auto standard is amazing Fantastic visibility 160-180?range of view. Controls are easy to use and non distracting Sleek and well thought out. The curves are nice and overshape is freshly designed. Sturdy and we'll designed with all safety features which you can ask for. Great warranty period which covers everything in this car. Rebates and great and fair pricing models from Hyundai Best dealership experience I have ever had in three car purchases
