The 2021 Accord has evolved into a graceful and ultra-modern daily driver and its overall practicality has bolted its presence within the segment as one of the best offerings in the midsize sedan segment. The interior of the 2021 Honda Accord outshines its exterior appeal and is quite feature-rich as well. Furthermore, the Accord will be exhibiting a mild redesign for 2021 but not much will change on the inside other than a few features and styling bits. The cabin, just like in the 2020 Honda Accord, is finished in an all-black theme with carefully crafted silver linings that accentuate the steering wheel, air-con vents, and the center console.

Cheap quality materials are absent and the interior is finished in soft-touch plastic all around. The dashboard is further given a wooden finish to upscale the appeal. Overall, the cabin doesn’t disappoint a bit and is a nice place to be in. The Accord sports a feature-loaded infotainment system, which for 2021 comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay for all its levels. With all such goodies under the roof, the Honda Accord ramp walks against the Hyundai Sonata, Nissan Altima, and Toyota Camry in style.

"Honda's no-options trim structure means that most decisions about its features are made for the driver, but virtually every Accord has handsome interior finishings and at least some creature comforts." - CarAndDriver.com

How comfortable are the seats on the 2021 Honda Accord?

The 2021 Honda Accord will accommodate 5 people comfortably with enough legroom and headroom on offer. The comfort it offers for the price cannot be matched by its immediate rivals. Honda has been generous enough to wrap the seats with leather in all Accord's trims. The quality of the leather is excellent and fit and finish levels are awesome. The front seats offer supreme luxury and hug the driver and front co-passenger properly while offering proper legroom, lumbar, and under-thigh support. The seats are wrapped up properly in leather with commendable attention to detail and features heating and ventilation systems for all-season purposes. The seat cushioning is soft with a nice fit and finish.

The rear seats are not a disappointment either. Three passengers can easily fit in there. The rear also complements with oodles of headroom and legroom and this is what makes it more preferable over its competitors. The 2021 Accord's ride quality is on the plusher side and absorbs most of the undulations and bumps on road without a problem but it's low slung ride height can pose some inconvenience to some people but it's certainly not a deal-breaker. Apart from occasional road noises over rough surfaces, the cabin filters out most of the noises and makes the interior quiet. The 2021 Accord will essentially follow in these footsteps as there will be very minimal changes in terms of interior aspects.

The 2021 Accord will be the most spacious sedan from Honda and when put against the rivals, it will offer excellent comfort with enough space on board. Since nothing much will be changed on the interior compartment, the space on offer will be similar to the outgoing model. Getting in and out of this top-rated sedan can pose a bit of inconvenience for some but it is not a deal-breaker. On the top-specced Accord Touring trim, the driver seat gets 12-way power adjustments and the basic model gets a 6-way manual adjustment.

Some of the important interior features of the 2021 Honda Accord are listed below:

  • 12-way power-adjustable seats
  • Leather seats even from the basic trim
  • Push Button Start
  • Center Console with Armrest and Storage Compartment
  • Front and rear bottle holders
  • Rear Window Defroster
  • Driver and front passenger illuminated vanity mirrors
  • Tilt and Telescopic Steering Column

How much cargo and luggage can the 2021 Honda Accord hold?

The Honda Accord is generous when coming to storage space. Space on offer is abundant in the Accord with smartly integrated storage spaces all over the cabin. The center console and the rear arm-rest house cup holders which are quite usable.

The door pockets are big enough and spacious which can store a full-sized water bottle without any hindrance. The shallow glove box can be a little bit of a disappointment to some but it’s usable. The cargo loading experience on the Accord is hassle-free with 16.7 cubic feet of trunk space on offer, which is best in the segment.

It can swallow most of the bulky luggage and there are segregation nets that can be used according to your requirements and convenience. The boot lid is wide and opens up nicely yet it misses out on power-operated functionality and needs to be shut manually. But the Accord makes up for the deficit with the biggest boot space.

What are the infotainment and interior features of the 2021 Honda Accord?

The new 8.0-inch infotainment of the Accord is quick and user-friendly while offering almost all practicality for day-to-day usage. It incorporates Android Auto, Apple Car Play, Satellite Navigation System, and Voice commands. The infotainment system is mated to a 6-speaker sound system that delivers crisp and detailed sound. For the connectivity options, it gets multiple USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity options. The speedometer console displays all the necessary information and statistics about the car and doubles up as a control for the infotainment system as well when required. The dual-zone automatic climate control system offers optimum comfort by maintaining the best cabin temperature when turned on.

The closest contender of the Accord is the Toyota Camry, which offers a bit better rear-seat comfort but loses out on boot space. Apart from that, the Accord provides extreme value for money with peace of mind that is generally associated with the name “Honda”. It excels in each and every aspect of the long feature list and is a trustworthy machine that the segment has to offer.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord worth it?

If you need a perfect blend of comfort and luxury, you don’t need to look much further because the new Honda Accord might be the perfect companion for you. It scores high on interior features and comfort while offering a fun to drive experience. Honda offered infotainment is at par with the segment rivals and it comes blessed with the biggest boot space on offer in the mid-size car segment. So it shines on the practicality front as well. The 2021 Honda Accord is worth buying with all these characteristics on offer from the outgoing model.

Really loaded even for base trim!

Pros - Spacious rear seats, good equipment list

Cons - No rear ac vents or phone charging sockets

Welcome change. Bought the car for my wife towards the end of 2020. We were expecting our second baby at this time. One thing I made sure wad that the rear seats were big so that she won't find it difficult to strap in the child seat, which was not the case in our old Sentra when we had our first baby. I bought the base trim, but it sure ain't feeling like one. She hasen't driven it around a lot, but she told me she is really liking it especially the seats and the space on offer. The only thing I found a bit wierd was the deep hole on the rear center console were the climate vents shoud be. Enrique was such a nice guy to do business with! He answered all our queries and made sure all out concerns were addressed before finasiling on the trim.

2021 Honda Accord

Pros - Sporty, reliable , economic

Cons - Not much

Classic Sedan Accord is the classic Honda which everyone wants to lay their hands on. The reason is simple and yet defining the class of Accord, it is the level of performance, class, comfort, driving ability like no other in competition. It is the best in its segment. A bit expensive but who sees price when you have a car this beautiful.
