The 2021 Ford Ranger SuperCab is available for sale in the market at $24,820 and it ranges to $36,610 for the top-spec Lariat trim. A 2.3L turbocharged inline-4 powers the Ranger that produces 270 hp and 310 lb-ft. of torque. This punchy engine can blast to 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds, which is great considering its wide dimensions and weight.

The interior of the Ranger has an outdated cabin design but it gets an 8-inch screen that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, it offers many optional packages that add many accessories. In its price segment, the Ranger gets stiff competition from the Chevrolet Colorado, the Toyota Tacoma, and the Nissan Frontier

"The Ranger seems like a competitive truck based on its specs and features list".- Edmunds

The 2021 Ford Ranger SuperCab is quite a good offering in its price and class. To make it stand out, the Ranger gets a new Tremor package and XL STX Special Edition package that adds specific accessories for off-roading. The Ranger's interior has a dull layout and an outdated infotainment system. Many safety technologies are offered as standard in the Ranger.

You can lease the 2021 Ranger SuperCab at $278 per month for 36 months with a down payment amount of $2,602. There is also a finance option available at a 1.9% APR rate for 36 months. The ownership costs of the Ranger is around $5,650 annually. The miles per dollar ratio is 1.36, considering that the Ranger is driven for 15,000 miles a year.

"The transmission shifts smoothly and rarely has to hunt for the correct gear".- Cars.USNews

The 2021 Ford Ranger is powered by the tried and tested 2.3L turbo inline-4 engine. Mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, the engine makes 270 hp and 310 lb-ft. of torque. Both RWD and AWD configurations are available on the Ranger. However, the 2022 Ranger is said to borrow the 3.5L V6 from the Expedition.

2021 Ford Ranger SuperCab engine.

With a bit more muscle and character, the Ranger might not be as disciplined and composed as its rivals but it does impress with its skillfulness. The steering though has some life into it with a fair amount of responsiveness and precision. As a result, the Ranger feels agile and easily maneuverable on most occasions.

2021 Ford Ranger SuperCab 0-60 mph in just 6.1 seconds.

With 270 hp on tap and smooth and quick transmission, the Ranger pulls from 0-60 mph in just 6.1 seconds while the quarter-mile test is completed in 14.7 seconds. Just not its performance but its braking system is also good. The Ranger achieves a braking distance of 127 feet while stopping from 60 mph.

With just 270 hp in the pocket, the Ranger is the most agile truck in this competition while the powerful Nissan Frontier slips behind it. Similarly, the least powerful Chevy Colorado overtakes the Toyota Tacoma in both performance tests. When it comes to towing capacity, again the Ranger is the leader.

2021 Ford Ranger SuperCab Fuel Economy

9.0/10

"For a truck, the Ranger gets good gas mileage".- The Car Connection

The MPG numbers of the 2021 Ford Ranger SuperCab are 21 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. Opting for the AWD system reduces the combined mileage by 2 MPG. Ford's 2.3L turbo-four engine not only brings peppiness and enthusiasm but also some sensible efficiency.

It houses an 18-gallon fuel tank which is the smallest in its segment. This small fuel tank doesn't help the driving range and delivers 414 miles in mixed proportions. Compared to its rivals, the driving range offered in the city and on highways are the least courtesy to a small fuel tank.

"The Lariat is the most lavish, with LED headlights and taillights, a unique grille, body-colored mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels".- Carbuzz

The 2021 Ford Ranger Super Cab does maintain its familiar silhouette with its siblings. Though the upright face and chin resemble the F-150, the slimmer horizontal chrome lines on the grille make for a difference. LED headlamps and fog lamps are only standard on the Lariat trim. The Ranger sits high at 8.4 inches and hence the running boards are available from XLT trim onwards.

The side profile remains chunkier with large wheel arches which house 16-inch wheels for the XL, 17 inches for XLT, and 18 inches for Lariat. Things are very clean and simple at the back though with slim vertical tail lamps and chrome “RANGER” badging. Apart from these you also have a long list of optional exterior accessories which include heated mirrors, power door locks as well as hands-free entry.

The Toyota Tacoma is nearly $4,000 costlier than the Ford Ranger and houses a slightly powerful engine (278 hp). However, it loses to the Ranger in terms of agility and towing capacity. Also, the fuel efficiency of the Ranger is the best in the segment. The Tacoma seats 5 passengers and has a better cabin layout. It also offers the highest ground clearance of 9.4 inches which is desirable for off-roading purposes.

Priced at $27,090, the Nissan Frontier is the most powerful pickup truck in this competition producing 40 hp more than the Ford Ranger. Yet, the latter has better performance stats and excellent MPG figures. The Ranger serves the duty of the pickup truck by offering class-leading towing capacity. The Frontier's interior is not roomy but the materials used are better than that of the Ranger.

Muscle car

Pros - Standout towage capacity, great mileage, very durable and standard look.

Cons - Touch controls lag a bit in my truck, cumbersome handling, small bed size.

Desirable daily Most of the things in this truck are bad starting from the engine which is unrefined to the seats and the bed capacity that are low. The safety features are unresponsive and only the towing capacity and fuel mileage are above average overall. Overall this vehicle is nothing burt a piece of tin that can be sold for scrap. I f I knew then that I know now I would have not bought this Ranger Please do look for deal elsewhere as I was not provided with good deal.

One truck for every kinda use.

Pros - Loaded with equipment, leather seats, nice and easy infotainments

Cons - Found nothing that is bothering me as of now.

Allrounder. If you want a budget truck that doubles up as a family car, then the ranger is for you. This truck had been with me for the past year and the experince has bee mostly posistive. First would be the looks, I've got people asking me whether if it was an f-150..!? Talking about the cabin, I have the lariat trim; so basically it comes loaded- big screen, leather seats, comprehensive safety package.. you name it. All this set me back around $32,295 with the bonus $1,500 cash back I got at that time. It had been my part time work-partime family truck for the past year and I must say it fairs to be pretty impresssive on both circumstances. Bryan was such a nice guy. really went out of hid way to make things easy for me. Also gave me $1500 cash back on my truck. Pleasure to have worked with him.

Perfect allrounder.

Pros - Sturdy Built, good towing capacity, well appointed cabin

Cons - Iffy interior plastic quality, confusing instrument cluster

Ford just brought in the best truck in the market! Got mine with the long bed and fully packed trim, cause this would be my only vehicle. I must say the interiors are well appointed for a truck and gets most of the usable features. The seats are very comfy as weel. The AWd system is such a life saver in the winter. You could easily pack some bags in and have a family vacay on this truck. The rear seats, though a bit tight, are perfectly usable. The 6ft bed is more than what I need but specced it just incase. Some of the only problems thatI faced was the squeaky cabin plastics and the confusing layout of the semi digital instrument cluster. Tony was very prompt in informing me about the first service. He got me an appoinment and did the whole work within a couple of hours. I was in and out of the service station in a jiffy!
