Ford F-350 is a heavy-duty pickup vehicle and is currently in its fourth generation. Since it was updated only last year, 2021 F-350 will most likely be a carry-over model with minor updates to the features list. It is also expected that 2021 could be its very end. So we could expect it to have some minor changes related to its infotainment and interiors. The Ford F350 will share the same performance and power figures will also not change.

The 2021 Ford F-350 Super Cab Diesel comes with a 6.7L Turbo V8 Diesel Engine and starts from $50,280 for the XL trim and goes up to $62,500 for the Lariat trim. Expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2020, it faces stiff competition from the likes of Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD, the Ram 3500HD and the GMC Sierra 3500HD. Here’s our take on the 2021 Ford F-350 that is soon going to be on sale in the market.

2021 Ford F-350 SuperDuty diesel SuperCab Maintenance, Reliability and Warranty

The F-350 heavy truck is one of the best in terms of Reliability and Ownership cost. Its maintenance and repair cost is low as compared to its rivals due to which it has ranked 1 in terms of the best diesel engine in a truck and ranked 2 in the list of best one-ton trucks. In this review Section, we would take a look at its reliability rating by J.D. Power and its total ownership cost in the first five years of purchase.

Reliability and Ownership Costs

Reliability is an important aspect while purchasing a heavy-duty vehicle. We don’t have its current reliability score, but being a carryover model considering its previous rating we can expect it to be near about that or much better. 2020 F-350 has been rated 82 out of 100 in terms of dependability due to which it has been best among the heavy diesel vehicles.

Despite having the highest score in terms of reliability 3 recalls have been issued to its name as per NHTSA regarding its premature right rear axle shaft failure, reduced seat back length, and the last related to its blockage of heater cable splice connector. We expected in the upcoming model it would have no recalls.

5 year ownership and maintenance costs

In terms of ownership costs, one is expected to shell out around $60,000 during the first five years of XL Diesel variant purchase which is pretty decent too. Cost to own figures helps you estimate the total five year cost of owning a vehicle including the basic items during ownership tenure. However, we may miss on some indirect and invariable costs that have not been taken into consideration which may affect your ownership.
