Ford has a simple way of making you understand itspick-up truck lineup, the bigger the number of the model the more is its towing capabilities. The Ford F-350 Super Duty is one of the big haulers in the lineup. The regular carb is the base offering of it and is meant for tradesmen that’s why it comes with a larger bed and with the option of dual rear wheels giving it the ability to tow heavy loads on an everyday basis while being practical and comfortable.

2018 Ford F-350 SuperDuty Pricing and Features

9.9/10

2018 Ford F-350 Regular Cab is available in two trim levels: XL and XLT. This is a regular cab so it offers a seating capacity for three, with an 8-foot long flat-bed. You can also opt for dual tires at the back, which Ford calls 'Dually'. That is the main reason for the heavy towing capacity of the vehicle. In the lower trim, you get most of the standard features.

Ride and Handling

The F-350 is a heavy-duty truck, but the ride is as smooth as it can be. The suspension is heavy-duty suspension allowing it to carry and tow loads without causing any discomfort of any sort in the cab.

In terms of handling, it handles like a heavy-duty pick-up truck. The steering will feel a bit heavy but, for a truck this size, it is normal. However, even though it has heavy steering it still is precise and all you have to do is turn the wheel and the truck follows.

The Ford F-350 is big, the big grille on the front shows that and even looks similar to the F-250, in its single rear wheel configuration. There is the option for dual rear wheels which improves its towing abilities and that widens the pick-up truck by 16-inches and there is an increase in curb weight as well by around 800 pounds.

The rest of the truck has the same features irrespective of your configuration, with LED headlamps, LED box lights, 17-inch wheels which are standard and come in chrome. Additionally, there are a lot of accessories for the pick-up bed especially for trailering like the gooseneck hitch kit.

2018 Ford F-350 SuperDuty Competition

Ford F-350 Regular Cab VS RAM 3500 Tradesman Regular Cab

When it comes to RAM 3500 v/s Ford F-350, the things are a bit difficult to decide. While the F-350 is powerful among the two, RAM manages to pull more weight with the trailer attached. To be specific, RAM pulls 900 lbs more than what an F-350 can. And that surely can be a deciding factor for many.

Ford F-350 Regular Cab VS Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Regular Cab

The Silverado does the 0-60 mph quicker than F-350 and even offers a bigger fuel tank. However, The Ford is more familiar and simpler to use than the Chevrolet Silverado 3500, making it much better an option.

Ford F-350 Regular Cab VS GMC Sierra 3500 HD Crew Cab

Engine specifications and a towing capacity of the Sierra is similar to Chevy Silverado. But the Sierra was built with an approach to luxury. So if luxury and quick Truck is what you want, Sierra is the way to go, but the regular cab is a tradesmen’s pick-up of choice where performance matters and Ford is much cheaper to own as well, making Ford the winner.

2018 Ford F-350 SuperDuty Final Verdict

8.4/10

The Ford F-350 Super Duty Regular cab is the tradesmen’s pick-up truck, with that in mind, Ford has put a lot of practical and functional features on the interior and around the rest of the truck as well in the form of accessories. The infotainment system is outdated but offers the minimum requirement for people. There is adequate power too for all the towing and payload you have to deliver.
