Enzo Ferrari was a racing driver as a part of the Alfa Romeo team. after racing for a number of teams, Ferrari made it become an official Alfa Romeo driver in 1921 where he made very satisfying successes and was later appointed the head of the Alfa Corse racing division when Alfa Romeo withdrew from racing in 1932.
Enzo decided to establish his own racing team that is when he started the Scuderia Ferrari team which later became the racing division of the Ferrari company. when Alfa Romeo went back into the game a fierce rivalry on the tracks ensued between them and Enzo Ferraris team.
Fiat owns a big stake in Ferrari and thus controls it. in 1969 Fiat group bought 40%-50% of the company from Enzo Ferrari. It was money that Enzo Ferrari needed to finance his Ferrari SPA Racing team. eventually, the fiat stake increased to reach 90% of the company. enzo's only aim was to retain control over the racing unit which he did but meanwhile, Fiat was not going to run the business in the same way he did in terms of having road cars merely to finance car racing. Fiat started modernizing cars and the sales went up substantially and the brand started reaching even more success.

Ferrari always said that the best Ferrari ever built, is the next one. So in the coming future, Ferrari is planning an aggressive roadmap of introducing 15 new models. The company will be focusing on increasing electrification as part of the future plan. New models of the Sports and GT variants, as well as special cars like the limited Ferrari la Ferrari, will work in bringing up the brand’s exclusive customer approach. New technologies and hypercars will always be upselling points of Ferrari’s. Formula1 will also help the company in improvising the latest tech for the development of their track friendly streetcars.
The company plans to launch a track-focused mid-engined supercar that will be powered by a new V8 engine. We already saw the first hybrid by Ferrari that had a v8. A new V6 hybrid engine is also under development and will be coming in the new Sport series model. But we have to wait, to see if the Maranello giant would do a V12 hybrid or not. Experts say that doing a V12 with a hybrid system does not make sense. As to bring out a hybrid setups full potential, the reduction should be made in engine consumption or in other words downsizing is a must. But we never know if Ferrari engineers come up with new advanced tech to break this concept. The company also revised its future plans of raising the profit bar from $1 billion to $2 billion byn2022. The new range of hypercar will be called ‘Icona’. No official news about LaFerrari’s successor but we all know that it will be here, not anytime soon.
