Chrysler is carrying forward the 2020 Voyager to 2021 with minimum changes and upgrades. So we get much of the same as the previous year, and that was plenty for America’s Most Affordable minivan, it has the same engine as the pricier Chrysler Pacifica which makes 287hp and will do the 0-60 in 7.2 seconds. It is not a sports car but, people mover, you cannot ask for more.

America’s Most Affordable Minivan is priced by Chrysler at a base MSRP of $27,235 which could give its rivals the Toyota Sienna, Kia Sedona, and Honda Odyssey a run for their money. But, how does this minivan match up to its competition? let’s find out.

What powers the 2021 Chrysler Voyager?

The 2021 Chrysler Voyager is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 which produces 287hp and 262lb-ft of torque, this is plenty for a minivan. The same engine is found in the pricier Chrysler Pacifica. The engine is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission that directs all the power to the front wheels.

Does the 2021 Chrysler Voyager handle well?

Minivans are people carriers, they are designed to take you and your entire family from one place to another as comfortably as possible. The 2021 Chrysler Voyager does that very well. To enhance the comfort as much as possible Chrysler has installed Strut suspension in the front axle which is lighter and adjusts itself a lot to the road conditions giving a smooth-rolling feeling.

On the rear axle is a trailing arm suspension which gives a more cushioned effect to the suspension movement and at the same time, it holds the wheel on the correct axis making the ride as comfortable as possible. Thanks to the electric power assist to the steering the response is immediate making this minivan a pleasure to drive.

Is the 2021 Chrysler Voyager good in terms of performance?

The 2021 Chrysler Voyager is good when it comes to performance. Even though it is at a price point that is lower than its competitors it gives performance numbers that are similar and even better in the power tests. It also has the ability to tow some weight as well which is good enough for holidays or changing homes. Chrysler also installed different suspension in the front and rear suspension to improve the comfort during the ride as much as possible while making the car as responsive as possible as well. This is a people mover and it does it as comfortably as possible while performing well, what more could you ask for?
