Considering the acceleration figures, the 2018 Chevrolet Trax isn’t the best performer amongst the competitors and takes its time to reach 60MPH from naught. Even in the quarter-mile run, the car is an average performer and won’t pin any excitement meter around. The fastest car of the lot is 2018 Jeep Cherokee which is just a tad bit quicker than the 2018 Chevrolet Trax both in terms of 0-60 and quarter-mile timing.

The braking on the 2018 Chevrolet Trax is quite sure-footed and has an evident bite to it. Although it is not the best braking car in its segment it’s not the worst either. The ride takes some time to come to a complete halt but it does so with composure and the car doesn’t sway away from its path. During the emergency braking test, the car decelerates from 60MPH to zero in 121 feet which is a little slower than 2018 Hyundai Tucson.

A nice budget offering

Pros - Within the budget, remote start, and cruise control

Cons - Not much space to rest peacefully inside

Price is the only redeeming factor here. The price tag is the most attractive thing about the car. I also liked the remote start feature and the cruise control is also really responsive. The interior space is nothing to talk about though and disappoints. Very nice place although the car choice was not good.

My Trax has been awful

Pros - Lots of driving assist technologies

Cons - Compromised on comfort, noisy ride, radio issues, poor seat quality, rear seat folding require much efforts

Nothing is good, except for safety features I have put 29k miles and the driver's seat is already flat. Radio shuts off and comes on randomly at any bump. Dealers too are not able to track down the issue. It's poor on the comfort levels. The noise on the go makes the ride worse. The rear seats take a lot of efforts to fold down. On the positive side, there are lots of driving assist technologies. But overall, my Trax has been awful. The dealer has not been able to trace the radio issue, so technically you must avoid them.

Mid Size SUV

Pros - "Good predicted reliability rating and safety scores Low list prices Decent number of standard features"

Cons - "Underpowered engine Cramped rear headroom"

Trax Up The Trax is a fantastic compact SUV/crossover car. I like the way it looks and handles. This is a great car for the money if you don't need some front-seat room. The Trax's fast handling, fuel economy, and overall size appeal to me. It is neither too large nor too thin. It's ideal for road trips as well as everyday use. I got a good leasing and financing offer from this authorised dealer
