The High Country models instead have a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp. Like its direct rival the Ford Expedition, the 2021 Tahoe is finally equipped with an independent rear suspension- translating to smoother, more comfortable road manners. Magnetic ride control and air suspension are also available to further refine the Tahoe’s body-on-frame chassis. All new Tahoe trim levels (the sole exception is Z71) can also be powered by an optional Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six turbo-diesel with 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. For buyers with Towing as a priority, Chevy offers features like the Max Trailering package with the 2021 Tahoe.
