With just a minor bump of $1,000 in the price tag, in comparison to the outgoing 2020 BMW X3, we will find out how well the 2021 BMW X3 turns out to be in the performance front, in comparison to the likes of the 2021 Mercedes Benz GLC 300, 2021 Volvo XC60, and 2021 Audi Q5, in this comprehensive performance review.

2021 BMW X3 Engine: Power, Torque, and Transmission Options

The 2021 BMW X3 is powered by a 2.0L Inline 4-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine producing a maximum output of 248 hp at 5200 rpm and a peak torque of 258 lb-ft at much lower revs of 1450 rpm, which makes it an efficient cruiser apart from its great offroading capabilities.

2021 BMW X3 comes with the 2L Twinpower turbocharged inline-4 motor

BMW posts peak power output at much lower revs than its competition which means that it's much easier to drive in the city and traffic and its fuel economy also gets maintained at a good level. Since the 2021 X3 shares the same engine as the 2020 BMW X3, the performance can be proved with the 2020 X3’s capability.

Rather buy an Audi

Pros - Cabin design, easy to drive, spacious

Cons - Controls are not user-friendly, touch screen lags sometimes, design/styling is outdated

Want a German car? Buy an Audi! X3 does have some good driving dynamics but when it comes to practicality it loses out big times. The space in the back is a little cramped up for taller people around heads and legs. On the inside, it behaves more like a small two-seater coupe than a hatch. The infotainment is confusing and the controls are not very well put together. It takes quite a lot of time to get the hang of how to use them. Not only that but the design feels outdated too. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable

2021 X3

Pros - Looks/styling, ride comfort, interior

Cons - Gas mileage

Go for it. The new 2021 version is even more comfortable and responsive than the previous year version. The transmission in BMWs is always fantastic and the same goes true for this one as well as it makes a lot of difference when it comes to driving quality. My favorite has to be the noise-free drive Great cabin space. Feels pretty comfortable no matter where I seat. optional Xline package makes it look different. Driver aids do come with this package. Not sure as of now. Got a few added extras which took the price close to $48,000 Helping staff made me chose the best trim for me

2021 BMW X3

Pros - Beautiful interior, stunning exterior

Cons - 2.0 engine is not enough, transmission

A practical car. I have been getting great gas mileage in my driving and above-average performance for SUVs at this price bracket. Handling is another delight of BMW. The climate control is really good. Cools and heats the cabin really fast. The inside is considerably roomy, and also the interior design could have been much more premium. I really like the refreshed styling. looks fresh. Properly safe. Proper maintenance should keep it running. No options, costed me $47,845 good deal and discounts. friendly staff
