The BMW M5 for the year 2015 is a completely blown up luxury super-sedan. It definitely is one of the fastest production cars in the world, despite being a 4-door sedan. Usually, the M5’s are designed with performance in mind, but this time around BMW has managed to focus slightly more on comfort and luxury, while not compromising on performance whatsoever. The base M5 can cost you $93,600 and with the extra bells and whistles you choose to add, the price keeps going north.

2015 BMW M5!

Pros - Powerful 4.4L engine. Feels stable at high speeds. Easy driving modes.

Cons - Start-stop system. DCT at low speeds.

A gentleman's sports sedan! The M5 has been in my garage for only one reason. That's performance. It is just nuts driving this car around, be it in the city or open highways. The twin-scroll, twin-turbo engine surely produces a vicious rumble before putting down a thrilling performance. Moreover, the stiff suspension ensures great high-speed stability, especially around fast croners. I really love the fact that the whole behaviour of the M5 can be changed to suit one's needs at the touch of a button. The only problems I have ever faced was jerky DCT gearshifts at low soeeds which eventually required an expensive repair! The service team here is extremely knowledgeable and good at workmanship. They pinpointed the issue exactly and found the cause real quick. However, the repair bill is a bit premium, even for a routine service!

The ultimate!

Pros - Explosive acceleartion, excellent agility, tach loaded cabin

Cons - Slightly harsh ride,

Made to perfection by tweaking throughtout these years. This vehicle breathes speed and luxury!! It drives so comfortable and smooth that you have to constantly check your speed to ensure your not breaking the speed limit. When you are sitting inside, your more comfortable than when sitting in your dad's recliner! The leather seats just hug you and make you feel like a part of the car. If you've never owned or tested a BMW M5... You are definitely missing out on one of the best driving experiences on the road!! "The Seffner dealership really put a lot into hoarding the stocks of all the in-demand cars and everytime I had walked into the place, even before, I was struck by the number of cars they had in their inventory at the time."

Pros - "Compelling lineup of robust engines Agile, smooth handling Sleek, easy-to-use infotainment system"

Cons - Small optional third-row seats

Sleek If you want an everyday super car that you can take 4 adults in comfort the M5 Competition is for you. I would recommend a bright color like Marina Bay Blue or bright green metallic to make it stand out like a super car but if you want to be stealth you can do a regular color

The 2015 BMW M5 does not see major changes in this year's model. It is still available with multiple engine options ranging from 2.0-liter turbocharged to 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged engines. All of these available options provide great overall performance. The M-series gets sport-tuned performance and thus is quick on acceleration. The interior is premium as well and provides great comfort to all the passengers. Starting at a price of $93,600, the 2015 BMW M5 competes with the likes of Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 and Audi RS7.

Unlike most cars and their trims and packages, the difference in M5 doesn’t include comfort or luxury features, but pure performance equipment that will completely change the game for your ride. This time, for the truest of Enthusiasts the BMW is offering a “30th Anniversary Edition M5” which is limited to 30 units in the US and to 300 units worldwide.

We Recommend

The best thing you can put your money into is the “Driver Assistance Plus Package” that comes with all the driver aids to make the car safer. It doesn’t just increase the safety of the passengers, but also that of the pedestrians. Since this pack comes with all the features in the “Competition Package” you won’t miss out on many good kinds of stuff too.

2015 BMW M5 Engine and Performance

9.0/10

If you are new to the idea of an M5, then don’t let the exterior fool you. The M5 is a very capable car that is fast as well as lithe. It can build pace as well as negotiate the pace into your desired direction with ease. The engine used is a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine making 560 hp of power and churns out around 575hp in the competition package.

The M5 can carve corners, and rip straight streaks of speed in the highways as well. The car comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission or a conventional six-speed manual gearbox, which is totally your choice.

These German triplets of speed offer apt competition to each other. They have similar power outputs and engine layouts. The BMW, however, has the highest power output and gets accompanied by the Audi RS7, with a similar 560hp. Despite all this, the best 0-60 timings have been posted by the Merc.

2015 BMW M5 Fuel Economy

6.0/10

For a car with an engine as big as 4.4L, the BMW returns about 15MPG in the city and 22MPG on the highway. Even though it's not the best in class fuel efficiency figures, it’s fine to live with. Also when buying such a car, the mileage should be the least of your worries.

The best in class fuel efficiency is offered by the Audi with its city MPG of 19 and an impressive 27 MPG on the highway. The biggest fuel tank belongs to the Mercedes-Benz AMG E 43 and the BMW alike. However, based on tank capacity and mileage, the best range will be offered by Mercedes and Audi.

2015 BMW M5 Interior

8.0/10

The 2015 M5 is offered with a roomier interior, luxury features that are impeccable and ensures the best for the passenger as well as the driver. The Aluminium interior trim oozes class and luxury and offers an ultra-premium feel inside the cabin. Exclusively available with the “30th Anniversary Edition M5'' is the black simulated suede/leather interior which is really cool, and amps up the excitement while driving.

The M5 offers the best interior dimensions for the front row. All the cars are capable of seating 5 persons in complete comfort. When it comes to the second row the dimensions are very similar to each other. The Cargo capacity is the least in class for the Bimmer, whereas that department is led by the Audi RS7 with 24.5cu-ft. Some of the interior features are:

  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Heated Steering Wheel (Optional)
  • Heated Seats
  • Adjustable steering wheel column driver Lumbar

How intuitive is the 2015 BMW M5’s infotainment unit?

The infotainment system used is less complex when compared to that on offer with the competition. This user-friendly system will take some time to get used to. The functions of the system are pretty flawless. It has quick response times and is easier to use on the go. It’s controlled with a mix of touch and button inputs. Some of the features are:

  •  iDrive infotainment system with a 10.2-inch screen
  • Navigation system
  • Satellite radio
  • Bluetooth, and USB port
  • Rear-seat entertainment system with iPad-like tablets
  • Harman Kardon and Bang & Olufsen stereo systems
  • A head-up display that projects driving info onto the windshield.

2015 BMW M5 Exterior

8.0/10

For some reason, this question feels irrelevant as we all know how stunning the car looks. The M5 has the same genes seen in other BMW’s but the M5 looks meaner with bigger tires, lower stance, and a few aesthetic elements that add to the charms of the car.
